Well, its finally here: Marble Madness. This documentation briefly describes the object and the keys used in the game.
After the program has booted, select one or two players by pressing 1 or 2 on the keyboard. Marble Madness supports both keyboard and joystick play, even a joystick and keyboard at the same time (If you are playing on a Tandy 1000, you can use two joysticks at the same time).
Special Note: If your computer uses a composite monitor, press "c" before selecting the number of players. The game will then pause, while it enters composite color mode.
JOYSTICK CALIBRATION
If your marble rolls while your joystick is centered, you need to recalibrate your joystick. To recalibrate, center your joystick and press "j", before selecting the number of players at the beginning of the game.
TURBOCHARGING YOUR MARBLE
You can turbocharge your marble by pressing the joystick button (or SHIFT) in keyboard mode). This gives your marble an extra burst of speed.
THE KEYBOARD COMMANDS
To play Marble Madness from the keyboard, use the following keys:
Player 1
Q W E
A S D --> W=Up; D=Right; X=Down; A=Left...etc.
Z X C
Player 2
I O P
K L ; --> O=Up; .=Down...etc
' . /
Shift turbocharges your marble. In a one player game, use the left Shift key. In a two player game, both Shift Keys are operational.
F3 Toggles sound on and off
Esc Pauses the game (Press Any other key to continue)
COOPERATIVE MODE
Two players can team up to get incredible scores with a single marble. When two players play a one player game, both joysticks (or keyboard commands) will control the marble. You can get the marble to go faster by cooperating. Of course, if you don't cooperate...
Oh yes, I almost forgot, can you find the ALL NEW SECRET LEVEL? I, myself, have not, but am still looking for it.
