One day, while having dinner, tooth 26 broke :(
It was a tooth devitalised about 20 years before that never gave me any problem until one day, without notice, the filling material fall out. The day after I went to the dentist to repair the tooth.

The dentist checks the tooth and gave me a very bad news ... it cannot be repaired :( The crack reached the root, so it has to be removed !!!!

He noticed also tooth 46 was devitalised and decided to make a radiography of both teeth.

Here are the pictures:

As we can see from the picture, the root of tooth 26 is still inside the bone and only the the crown seems to be missing.

Since I had no pain, I reject the extraction, left the studio determined to fight for it. I consulted other dentists and all gave me the same answer: the root is broken, tooth has to be extracted.

I had no pain, only little difficult to eat as the tooth was broken into two or three parts and bothered me while eating or brushing my teeth. A few days later, I realised I had no choice, so I contacted the dentist to book tooth extraction.

31 January 2019 at 15:00 I went to the dentist. He took a new radiography of tooth 26.

After, with a syringe he injects local anaesthetic inside the mouth.

Approximately one hour later, tooth 26 was extracted .... and this is how I lost my first tooth.

Where once there was a tooth, now there was a huge hole.

Here is the radiography taken right after tooth extraction.

The feeling was horrible !!!! I can't survive without a tooth !

I asked the doctor to implant a new tooth in the "empty space" just created. The dentist agree this was the right thing to do and decided to do a panoramic radiography of the mouth in order to decide how to proceed ... and ... the second bad news :(

The panoramic radiography shows a dental cyst under tooth 46.
The dentist told me the problem is serious and if left unchecked can lead to more severe complications. The cyst grows quite large and almost reached the inferior alveolar nerve. I may lose sensitivity to the right side of the mouth. The cyst is to big to be cured. Tooth 46 needs to be removed !!
