BATMAN VENGEANCE NTSC US DVD Rip

This following is a tutorial on how to rip the NTSC US version of BATMAN VENGEANCE.

Tools needed:
DVD drive
ISOBuster
Hex editor
PS2 Burning Kit V2
CDRWIN or similar

1. Making sure that the DVD is in the drive, create a new directory on your hard drive say c:\Batman Vengeance and copy the contents of the DVD to it.


2. No need to rip anything game is only 690 meg. time to open up the slus file. Make sure that SLUS is not write protected otherwise you won’t be able to make the necessary change. Open up SLUS 202.26 using your hex editor. now for the dvd checks there are 4 at offsets 1. 0013c414 2. 0013add4 3. 12edo 4. 12f40 change 0200 0424 to 0100 0424 save and close thats it for checks. Now use adr patcher on the .img file in modules use generic patch can find adr patcher at ps2ownz.com


3. Open ISOBuster and make sure that the DVD drive is selected. Right click on the DVD title name and click on copy tree-info to file. Select a place to save the filelist.txt file to and remember where it is because we will need it in a bit.


4. Now we have to start using the PS2 Kitbuilder. I have found that using this can be a bit confusing if you have never used it before so this is the way I got it to work. Extract the PS2 Kitbuilder zip file to a folder on your hard drive say c:\bjkit. Move all the files/folders in the data directory to the c:\bjkit directory. The data folder (c:\bjkit\data) should now be empty.


5. Move all the contents of your c:\batman vengeance directory to the c:\bjkit\data directory.


6. Now run kitbuilderv2.exe

   Click on the browse button (under the output dir button) and set it to c:\bjkit
   Click on the sort file creator button and it will open up a new window.
   Click on the browse button and find the locaton of the filelist.txt file we saved before.
   In the files directory box just type data.
   Click OK
   Click on the Batch file button.
   In the cd title box type Batman_ Vengeance and in the Data dir(usually data) box type data
   Click OK..
   Click on create and wait
   When it has finished it comes up with a box saying finished or created just click OK and close PS2 Kitbuilder.



7. Have a look in the c:\bjkit directory you will see a file called go.bat double click on it. It will now create the iso image, this can take 5-10 minutes so be patient once again.


8. Once this has finished we can now burn the ISO image to a cd. I use CDRWIN Just make sure that when burning you choose CDROM-XA as the disk type and MODE 2 as the track mode. Once burnt you should have a working copy of the NTSC US version of Batman Vengeance.
