Kombucha Instruction
What equipment do I need
- brewing jar
- sieve
- water filter
- jar cover
- saucepan
- glass bottles
- funnel
- measuring jug
Instruction
- Bring 900ml of chlorine free water to the boil in a saucepan
- add 60gr of sugar and stir well
- add 10g of black tea (2 teabags) and allow it to steep for 10 minutes
- remove the tea and allow the mixture to coll back down to room temperature
- add the tea mixture to a 1litre glass jar, then add the contents of this package (Kombucha Scoby + 100ml of starter)
- cover the Jar with a cloth or paper towel and leave it somewhere warm for 5 days. Do not leave it in direct sunlight!
- remove the Kombucha Scoby and 100ml of the liquid and keep it to one side for later
- bottle the remaining liquid in something airtight and like a screw lid glass bottle or a plastic soda bottle. Leave it for 3-7 days at a room temperature until fizzy
- place the bottle in the fridge to cool before enjoying
- repeat the steps from the start using the Kombuscha Scoby and 100ml of liquid from the batch you just made (step 7)
