 ²  one of the most common questions or to be more specific, doubts, of all  ²  
 ²  of us and not just in the bbs scene, is "should i make this", "should       
    i publish that" or "will it be worthy" etc. people get afraid that if       
    they publish/make something, will be criticized in a bad way or they        
    just have fears that their work is not good enough. i don't know about      
    other scenes/areas but these are my thoughts, for the bbs scene.            
                                                                                
    today bbsing is a hobby, is a pation a thing that we do, because of         
 ²  nostalgia. we continue bbsing, because returning to the past, in that       
    era, it gives us a warm feeling. it's like you have moved out from          
    your old neighborhood and one day, you came back for a visit. memories   ²  
    of the past, never get forgotten.                                           
                                                                                
    i am saying this, because whatever project you have in mind and fear        
    to start or finish or publish, will not be critized the way it would        
    in the past. elitism, antagonism of groups is all gone. today we are        
    thankful that we have 3-5 ansi groups and some bbs developers and we        
    all support those, to keep going. so will be your project, your ansi        
    screen, your script etc. having a new coder/artist in the scene, by it   ²  
    self is a big thing. releasing new stuff for our hobby is even bigger! ÛÛÛÛ 
    for the last past years, i don't remember anyone making a bad critic ÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
 ²  for anything. all projects were welcomed and supported in some degreeÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    so why you should hesitate?ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
Û   another reason is, that if you never pass your fear, you will never ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
Û   publish anything. it hasn't have to be a big project. start slow andÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    low, small things at a time and from there you can go bigger. starting ÛÛÛÛ 
    small, will give you the courage to expand/release your self ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    afterwards and overcome the fear. when you see that people liked your ÛÛÛÛÛ 
    first small ansi work/script, then you will do more and more andÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    more... people will get to know you, you will make a circle ofÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    contacts etc.ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ²Û 
    ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
 ²  i know this, cause that's how i started also. the difference with me, ÛÛÛÛÛ 
    is that in the past, i was making some releases, but for my local bbs ÛÛÛÛÛ 
    scene. entering a different scene, after all those years is almost the ÛÛÛÛ 
    same thing. but slowly, making small script releases, gave me the ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    courage to continue and even make an emag.ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
Û   ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    for sure, there will be people that will like and others that don't,ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    your work... so what? this happens everywhere in our lives. because ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    someone disagreed on something, doesn't mean anything. as i said, ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
 ²  bbsing is all about our love to this old-style computing stuff. if you ÛÛÛÛ 
    love what you do and have fun doing so, then it's totally worth it. ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    first you do it for your self, to have fun and if others enjoyed it,ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ 
    then good for all of us ;) so, don't overthink things... specially in ÛÛÛÛÛ 
    the bbs scene is very easy to make stuff. you only an editor (text or ÛÛÛ²Û 
    ansi) and you can write/draw stuff, even in the oldest machines. want ÛÛÛÛÛ 
    to be 100% oldschool? install dosbox on your smartphone, and let theÛÛÛÛÛ²Û 
    DOS path guide you... :)  may the box be with you... ÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛÛ²Û
