NULL mag Issue 09 10 Echonets flaming
if you don't all ready know, some shit happened over at FSX and g00r00 decided to leave the net. the news spread after Avon made an announcement in FSX and then some other guy continued the conversation at SCINET and things got off the track quickly.
i am not writing this to criticize specifically g00r00, avon or anyone else and it's not my business. anyone can have his disagreements and choose what to do.
the first thing i want to talk about, is how this "divorce" will affect Mystic BBS in its development and also in its spread around the scene.
i mean... FSX is one of the biggest nets in the scene and until now was the main "advertizer" for Mystic BBS. anyone who wanted to learn/ask about MBSS came to FSX. perhaps this was going on, because g00r00 was also active in there, but now that he isn't this may change things. don't know about that, only the future will tell and now things are in a transitional state, i guess. people may still prefer FSX us their MBBS knowledge base net.
also this may also be a chance for other nets to gain more users and become more viable and interesting. i guess, this is a good thing.
another thing that i wanted to mention is that even in a period of global unrest and while a virus is threatening our own existence (physically or by reducing our rights), people still have the mind to behave as assholes. and i am not speaking about g00r00 or Avon, but about the anonymous guy who send a threat via email to g00r00. no point to speak more about it, as it has all ready be done, in the nets. i am just mentioning it in NULL just for the record, when all humanity have vanished and some alien race found the hard disks of 16colo.rs server and manage to execute those awesome old emags. :)
