Great for dinners ir lunch box for the next day

Serves 6
Ready in 30 mins
150g broccoli florets, chopped
50g garden peas
plain flour, for dusting
200g ready rolled shortcrust pastry
2 tbsp soft cheese
1 tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
1 British free range egg, lightly beaten
sweet piccalilli (optional)


1 Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6. Cook the broccoli in boiling water for 5 mins, then add the peas and cook for 2 mnins more. Drain and set aside to cool. 2 Meanwhile, dust the work surface with flour, unroll the pastry and cut out six rounds, about 13cm across, using up the trimmings as needed. 3 Stir the soft cheese and parsley into the cooled veg, and season. Put the rounds on a lined baking tray and divide the mixture between them. 4 Wet the edges and fold over, then crimp to seal. Make a slash on top for steam to escape, brush with egg and bake for 20 mins, until golden. 5 Serve the pasties with some piccalilli on the side, if you like.

1 Preriscaldare il forno a 200 ° C / ventola 180 ° C / gas 6. Cuocere i broccoli in acqua bollente per 5 minuti, quindi aggiungere i piselli e cuocere per altri 2 minuti. Scolare e mettere da parte a raffreddare. 2 Nel frattempo spolverare di farina il piano di lavoro, srotolare la pasta e ritagliare sei rondelle di circa 13 cm di diametro, utilizzando i ritagli secondo necessità. 3 Mescolare il formaggio a pasta molle e il prezzemolo nella verdura raffreddata e condire. Adagiare i tondi su una teglia foderata e dividere il composto tra loro. 4 Bagnare i bordi e piegarli, quindi piegarli per sigillarli. Fare uno squarcio sulla parte superiore per far fuoriuscire il vapore, spennellare con l'uovo e infornare per 20 minuti, fino a doratura. 5 Servite i pasticcini con qualche piccalilli a parte, se vi piace.
