Deck Overview
-------------

Jaden uses this deck in the beginning of the game. It is his starting deck which he uses during the first 30-40 days of part 1. It is a very basic Elemental Hero deck whose main purpose is of course, fusions. He has 3 Polymerization cards and that is his only means of fusing monsters. He also has cards like Dark Hole, Cyber Jar and Sakuretsu Armor to defend against powerful monsters. Other notable cards include Magic Cylinder, Morphing Jar, Pot of Greed and De-fusion. Another one his strategies is to summon Winged Kuriboh LV10 (although that rarely happens). He also has cards that bring back monsters from the graveyard so he can fuse them again (however he cannot bring back Polymerization).

How to Beat
-----------

Make him unable to fuse:

Non-fusion Area x3 (and put some Magic Jammers too). That will take care of all your problems, either that or Horus LV8, he works good enough for our case and is easy to summon, not to mention he takes care of Dark Hole, too. If you go with Horus you may want to put Jinzo or Royal Decree in there too to really lock Jaden (he won't be able to use Sakuretsu Armor or Solemn Judgement then). If you're not satisfied with these solutions you can always try using Prohibition and block Polymerization. Actually, anything that blocks the use of Spell cards or the use of a certain card works (like Spell Canceller which is even easier than Horus to summon but weak, you may want to Mist Body on him, Mist Body is called Mistobody in this game).

Keep knocking'em down:

Put in 3 Chainsaw Insect and other very strong monsters such as Spear Dragon or Gemini Elf. Also put some anti spell/trap cards in there since his Skyscraper could prove to be very annoying. Honestly, this type of deck isn't that good, unless of course its used in combination with the Horus LV8 + Royal Decree/Jinzo combo, then it rocks.

There are many ways to seal Jaden's strategy, all you have to do is think, you could, for example, force Jaden draw his Polymerization card and use Morphing Jar or Card Destruction or use Vampire Lady or Vampire Lord and infict battle damage, however it may seem unlikely that he will choose to throw a Polymerization card, the CPU chooses one card in random for effects such as this so you have around 3/10 chance of throwing a Polymerization card since he would have drew some Spell Cards, but he may also have drawn Polymerization, too so you may want to choose monsters, however chances are that he will just get them back using his Spell Cards. There are thousands of strategies in Yu-Gi-Oh!, some of these strategies are bound to be ideal to use against Elemental Heroes, you just have to use your imagination. I'm open to all strategy or combination submissions, you will be credited of course.

Remove from Play:

Jaden needs his monsters to Fusion Summon, if you just send them to the graveyard he can get them back using his Spell Cards and use them again, so remove them from play, cards such as D.D. Warrior and all other D.D. cards, you can also use the Vampire Lady/Lord strategy to send them to the grave but have Macro Cosmos or Banisher of the Light/Radiance (they are 2 different cards) or Dimensional Fissure on the field or you can use Soul Release to remove from play cards from his graveyard. Cards such as Karma Cut or Dark Core are helpful too, Nobleman of Crossout can help as well.

Card Counters
-------------

Here is where we examine certain cards Jaden has in his deck and try to find a way to counter them.

General Counter Cards:

These cards are used to destroy cards in general, check them out.

Negate Summon/Destroy Monsters:

Lighning Vortex, Share the Pain, Tribute to the Doomed, Michizure, Sakuretsu Armor, Smashing Ground, Hammer Shot, Trap Hole, Bottomless Trap Hole, Dark Core, Karma Cut, Black Horn of Heaven etc.

Effect Negation: Skill Drain, Dark Ruler Ha Des, Light/Shadow Imprisoning Mirror (not sure if they are in the game), Divine Wrath (I am not sure about this one either)

Negate/Destroy Spell/Traps:

Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm, Cold Wave, Nobleman of Extermination, Bait Doll (I'm not sure if it is in the game), Hannibal Necrmancer, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Magic Jammer, Seven Tools of the Bandit etc.

Keep in mind I listed all those that came to mind at the moment I was writing this and I make a habit of not giving a LIMITED EDITON card about cards I don't use.

Rhetorical Question: Why are 1st Edition cards worth more than LIMITED EDITION cards?

Creature Swap:

Creature Swap cannot be used if either has no monsters, so you'll always have something to give when Jaden activates this card...or not? Here's the thing: when Jaden activates this card, activate a card that destroys a monster on the field and target the monster you control and want to give, once that monster is destroyed, you'll find yourself with the same ammount of monsters, and Jaden with one monster short. You could also use cards such as Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai to tribute your fire monster and inflict damage equal to its ATK to your opponent's Life Points as well as give no monster. Of course there are more than just two cards that need you to tribute a monster to be activated, if Jaden has 2 or more monsters on his side of the field, you could chain Enemy Controller to Creature Swap and get two monsters while giving none, the drawback to this is that you'll keep the monster you got with Enemy Controller until the end of Jaden's turn. So it won't stay long enough for you to activate a card from your hand...but that's why you can Set cards, right? You need a Quick-Play Spell or a Normal/Counter Trap to take advantage of them.

Dark Hole:

Same scenario as Creature Swap, well almost, but you can still tribute monsters for card effects such as Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai as said above.

De-Fusion:

When Jaden uses De-Fusion, it is because he can win if he attacks with all the monsters he used for the Fusion Summon (provided that they are still in the graveyard). You could use Bottomless Trap Hole or Black Horn of Heaven to this move since it counts as a Special Summon.

Heavy Storm:

If you have cards such as Emergency Provisions, now is the time to use them, since all your Spell/Trap cards will be destroyed anyway. Also you could use cards such as Raigeki Break or something so they do not go to the graveyard unused, but do not select Heavy Storm as the target for your chain unless it negates a card's effect, not simply "destroys" a card, for example, chaining Mystical Space Typhoon to Heavy Storm and targeting Heavy Strom in an attempt to stop it is futile, it will merely destroy the card but that is not what matters since the card has been activated anyway, you should have used it if he had set Heavy Storm but that has never happened to me. To stop a card's activation, you can only use cards that NEGATE the activation of a card, in this case, Magic Jammer/Solemn Judgement works fine.

Mystical Space Typhoon:

Look above.

Pot of Greed:

You could use a Trap Card that I know it exists that activates when your opponent activates Pot of Greed, it negates PoG and lets you draw 3 cards, neat (I don't know its name though). OR you could use Appropriate, a Continuous Trap card that lets you draw two cards every time your opponent draws a card outside his Draw Phase.

Hero Signal:

See De-Fusion

Magic Cylinder:

You can use Barrel Behind the Door against this, if you know/suspect that Jaden has set his Magic Cylinder then attack him with your strongest monster, if he DOES have Magic Cylinder and activates it then you can activate Barrel Behind the Door to make him suffer the effect damage you would otherwise had.

Sakuretsu Armor:

See Dark Hole, Creature Swap and apply suggestions to the situation you are in.

Cyber Jar:

See Dark Hole, Creature Swap.

E-Hero Bubbleman:

IF Jaden is in a position to activate Bubbleman's second effect, you could use Appropriate again.

E-Hero Bladedge:

Since Bladedge deals penetration damage, you can set a monster with 0 or less than 500 DEF and use Dimension Wall against him.

Morphing Jar:

The same Appropriate trick. Look at E-Hero Bubbleman and Pot of Greed/Avarice.

Dark Catapulter:

See Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm.

E-Hero Flame Wingman:

You can use Barrel Behind the Door to inflict the effect damage you would have taken if it comes to Flame Wingman's effect.

E-Hero Mudballman:

Mudballman has the highest defence for an Elemental Hero monster along with Neos Wiseman (but Wiseman is not in the game). Its high defence makes it the primary target of Smashing Ground (Jaden has no monster with higher than 3000 DEF and has no cards that can raise a monster's DEF).

E-Hero Rampart Blaster:

Rampart Blaster is a tricky card since it won't be affected by Mirror Force if Jaden uses its effect but with 2500 DEF, it is a monster that is likely to be targeted by Smashing Ground.

E-Hero Tempest:

Tempest's high ATK and DEF make him very likely targets for both Hammer Shot and Smashing Ground.

E-Hero Steam Healer:

You can use Bad Reaction to Simochi against Steam Healer, that way, Jaden will lose instead of gain Life Points.

E-Hero Thunder Giant:

Along with the usual ways of destroying monsters, you can render this
monster worthless using cards such as Slate Warrior, Flint, etc. in
combination with cards such as Malevolent Nuzzler, Black Pendant, etc.
