a new millennium is over, x-mas event is over, but a new issue of
sabotage is on its beginning! i`m very glad to bring you the seventh
release of our pack dedicated to all swappers around the globe. what is
hiding inside? let`s remove the cover.
this time we haven`t got so much support, some swappers are a bit lazy
before the x-mas, but some ones are hyperactive i have to say. first,
punisher have sent me many interesting stuff and makak collected many votes,
so swapper`s chart changed a bit this time - kempy won again! just check it
out.
i want to stay in chart discuss for a while now, talking about some
changes of the chart system. i decided to unfold it a bit, antedated from
issue six the chart isn`t "top ten" only, but there will be anyone who will
get three points from various swappers to enter the chart without any limits
how many swappers could be in chart. also there won`t be any kicked
swappers until we get a notice about his quitting the scene, dropping the
swapping activities or major unactivity. i hope it`s clear enough,
practically nothing has changed for the voters.
next... swap news and updated forum are the part of our new swap section
again, mainly organized by punisher. messages part includes the results
from the party`00 which hasn`t been so successful we expected, maybe it`s
true that all amiga scene removes to mekka&symposium in germany. please
also take a look on the expression of eurochart`s boycott committee in
messages part, there are an important sentences explaining some rumours
about this action. also thanks gone/void for nice poem and makak/rsn+mns
for his interesting article about diskmags - good work, mates!
having more nice words about our supporters, zaac`s introscreen using
from the issue #6 was proclaimed as a "picture of the week" on gfx-zone,
congrats zaac!!
we`ve got some delaylists and messages but these days are poor for the
parties, so there are no invitations again. pity. please send me some
invitations everytime you will get any, or are there really no parties over
the horizon? i don`t believe...
have to say something about the music, i held it as a last thing being
written here - today we have THREE nice tunes, the first two mods have been
made by qwan/uprough originally for sabotage as always (thanks a lot, dude!)
and third music is a bonus music by dascon/iris, it`s not orginal one, but
dascon haven`t use it anywhere so we have a pleasure to release it here with
his permission because there are nice psychedelic noises there :).
and what you could get from us next time? the content is always
uncertain, but i hope mortimer twang/dcs will keep his promise to make an
original tune for us! wow! i also hope we will be able to give you some
more important swap infos.
important note for all voters and spreaders: please spread and vote
using the files includes in actual issue of sabotage, chart, sheets and
others could be changed every issue! for example, this time you have to add
date in voting sheet to get me know when you voted to avoid the
double-filled voting sheets!

- corrosion crew just got back from JFJF - yugoslav festival of cheap
movies. after 5 days of movies, concerts and partying, all we can do is
to tell all of you had chance to come but didn't do it, that you've missed
a lot. concerning our little crew, we did a great LO-TEK KINGS live act,
our 2 demos were screened during the festival [BURST and PROJECT42] and we
released our first LOW-FI movie called ON SARMA. this was also the place
where our cooperation with video group KADAR was presented in form of ROAD
TO HELL video with the lo-tek kings tune N2O [soon to be released as ep on
cd!]

An open letter regarding the Boycott of Eurocharts
--------------------------------------------------
We, the Committee of Boycott decided to speak again. Sixth issue of
"Sabotage" pack contained an information saying that some polish swappers
led by Azzaro/MadWizards, decided to boycott "Eurocharts" pack. This
isn't the whole truth, and may lead some people into wrong conclusions.
Firstly- Azzaro is not the inventor and leader of this boycott, secondly
we don't intend to bring the Eurocharts down or in other words let it die.
Some of polish swappers after some thinking and discussions of the
situation of Scene recently, which is concerning foreigners speaking about
the polish scene, and rumours about Poles voting only for Poles in
votesheets, among others, votes for Eurocharts, decided to take some
serious actions.
After analysing the whole situation, a "Committee of Boycott of the 42
issue of Eurocharts" was born. We repeat - we will boycott EC issue 42
only. We want it to be objective - without polish votes. Then we will
see two things: are the Poles only voting for Poles, and when will the EC
staff gather enough votes to make objective and representative
classification.
The aim of our Committee is not, repeat NOT "to bring the EC down". We
consider EC as a needed, high quality magazine, which brings important
information to Scene. After the release of EC issue 42 our Committee will
cease it's activities, and Polish Scene will continue to support this
magazine like any other zines in the Scene.
We hope, that this information cleared any doubts about the goal of our
action and the leadership of it.

Hi, and welcome to the 'swap section' of Sabotage. In this column we
will be bringing you the latest news and rumours that floats around in our
community.
We, the editors, hope that you will support us with some nice information
regarding yourself or your contacts. If for example your friend has ended
up with with a broken leg after falling down a tree (hi Hellrazor), when you
were drunk, then tell us about it!
We are interested in knowing about everything that happens, and of
course, the only way to get that is through you.
So keep the support coming, and enjoy the section!
SWAP NEWS (COLLECTED AND WRITTEN BY PUNISHER)

I guess some of you are quite unsure what kind of Section 'Swap News'
really is, even if the title speaks for itself, so therefore I'm going to
explain it to you with a few simple words. First of all, 'Swap News' was
created to become the official news and rumour board for swappers. The main
idea is that everyone can send both Lahve or me some bytes about something
that has happened on the swapping scene. For example, this could be
information regarding people who recently started to swap or just some
information about a person going to the military etc. There are no limits
for what you can send in to us! If one of your contacts have done a foolish
thing for example, then please give us the news, and we will print it in the
rumours corner.
-| Hottest News |-
· Haze/Apathy got himself a girlfriend and has stayed with her at her place
whole christmas! Congratulations on behalf of Sabotage!
· Punisher/Darkage+Nah-Kolor left Apathy, Veezya and Void because he (I)
needed some changes.
· Apathy knocked the teeth out of Whelpz when thinking about their "Pack
War". They were over one week quicker with releasing than Whelpz, which
have made Hakon/Whelpz angry. Hakon/Whelpz told in defense of his pack
that he always included a resultfile, but time will show if this is a
clever move. Strife/Apathy is on the other very proud of the achievement
and is now looking forward to win the war! We wish both of the crews luck
and may the best man win!
· The famous Dutch swapper, Gone/Void, have moved into a new house together
with his wife. We in the Sabotage (TM) crew would for sure like to see
some pictures of their new place, and also, we would like to know if a
"mini-Gone" comes to our world! Keep us updated Gone/Void!
· Gone/Void became a new co-editor of Showtime. He will not become a
Darkage member though, so he stays put in Void. Let us hope the
Showtimer's will get a new issues released soon!
· Pix/Mangoo, a Norwegian graphician and swapper, got a major harddrive
crash and lost all of his files. His contacts are asked to be patient
with him replying to their letters.
· The Norwegian swapper, Zerox/Gods, should be out with a new issue of
D.I.S.C very soon. He informed me that it would contain plenty of
interesting stuff for swappers, so be sure to get your hands on it as soon
as it hits the scene! Darkhawk/IRIS, Adonis/IRIS and myself are official
spreaders of this mag.
· Poor Rebel/Veezya's Amiga crashed, so he is now using a PC. People that
want to write to him should use PC0: formatted disks ONLY!
-| Rumours Corner |-
· Rumours says that Horizontal Lamerz are working on a new pack. I have not
managed to get some hard evidence on this case, but I will follow it up
during the next weeks, and bring you the latest rumours about this in the
next issues of Sabotage.
· The group named Void is said to be about to release a brand new stuffpack.
When it will be released, I don't know, but most probably it should be out
in February.

can explain it with a few words. It is mainly about swappers
discussing topics that are of interest to them. Everyone can take
part in the discussions by sending their comments to me or Lahve.
At the moment, there have been heavy discussions regarding Polish
swappers and whether they are the best or not. Take a look at at
the statements below, follow the discussion, and please take part
in it! This could be YOUR chance to make a CHANGE! Remember that
ANYONE can participate, but remember that spreading shit about
people is NOT ALLOWED. We DON'T TOLERATE any RACIAL DISCRIMINATION

Hmm, is there anyone who explain me why swapp outta Poland is
rather dead nowadays? There's not my task to find standards
questions, you know what i'm talking about, all of them filled with
sentences like "i-net everyone", "less of amiga sceners", "dying
tribe" etc. I don't believe that THEY ARE MAIN REASONS of actual
world-swapp situation!!! Maybe i'm so stupid or something, but i
still don't know - "WHY?". That's all... I am flying away.

Kempy does for sure have a point. Can anyone help him out? It
would be nice if this little project gave some good results too.
However, I know that some of my new contacts in Germany, Norway,
Bulgaria and Sweden are reading this, and they are the perfect
answer that swapping outside Poland is still NOT DEAD, so let's
keep faith and swap until time catches us..

I don't know if Poland Swappers are good, but when I sent some
contact letters I didn't got reply only from Poland. If this is
some kind of Elitizm I can't wonder why some western sceners claims
that the Poland scene is closed in itself. They just says we Rule,
Fuck everybody outside our country, they are lame etc. Ok some non
Polish sceners might be lame but in fact the best releases
(Quality) are from outside Poland. In my Opinion best Swappers are
Outside Poland too. Everyone Prefers Quality over Quantity. So if
the Quantity is bigger in Poland that doesn't mean the other
countries haven't Swappers. They are quiet but still kicking.

Lahve/MAWI+Reason Polish Swappers Kempy/Veezya 07-11-2000

i could get knowledge of poles at four parties. there is a lot of
them and they are proud of their language. polish swappers are
giving their inspiration and knowledge to next poles which are
closer to them because of their behaviour and the same life style.
many of them are rather closed to themselves and other
nationalities are feeling like some kind of aliens, although poles
are not bad people. they only have another kind of mentality and
some people cannot understand it, going farther from them by this.
all is about behaviour, but please don`t hurt them. poles, because
of their huge area of being, are root of motivation to others. it
is strange to be alone in own country and be a good swapper,
because he, alone, cannot motivated so much people to swap. poles
has long history and strong roots, this is why they could be so
motivated for others. just take the best from their behaviour and
let be ruled by this, adding something from your own experience.
and then you could be as good as they are and add your lifestyle
there as well to make own history, own style.

calm dow man, and try to think instead writing this bullshits.
little example: theres a one european country, let's call it
SCENELESS, okay? so we have there only ONE active swapper, who is
nice, and fast. everybody have a contact with him, and say:
"geeee, SCENELESS have best swappers in the world!!!. and on the
second hand we have poland and about 40 active swappers. sadly
over half of them is lazy and dont want (or cant) to swap with
foreigners. and imagine that dr.hirudo sent his contact to these
lazy/stupid ones, so!? it's easy now to talk "poland suxx!" - but
notice except jerks mentioned above, there is over 15 GOOD
swappers. and a this number (15) is more than sum of all nice
swappers in a rest of world!!! so...?! am i pathetic?! no!
years ago every european country had a lot of amiga swappers, but
can you imagine how hard was for any polish swapper to get foreign
contact!!! it was really, really hard! and nobody didn't see it!
so fuck off from poles - and at least: please show me dr. Hirudo
ANY SWAPPER who didn't receive a answer from me, so come on! and
please think about it before you'll have write shit like this
again.
PS. i'm in very bad mood today, and i tried to be more gentle as
it was possible...

Makak/Moons+Reason Poles Are Weird? Dr.Hirudo/Void 12-12-2000

Poles are wired? Maybe we are, and our bevahiour on copy party is
stupid, but hey, what with other nationalities? Lahve, have you
seen those Norwegians on Satellite2k? Foreigners say that Poles
are unfriendly for others, and so on, but what's with them? As I
can remember they were still sitting in the corner, and talkin'
with themselves. Didn't want to drink with us, have fun in crazy
compos or something. Only Lahve was having good time there (am I
right?), but obviously it's Slavonic sould and he can understand
our style of beeing. So please don't say that we're unfriendly for
you, better look at yourself. And don't you think that dividing
people for nationalities is very stupid, especially on the scene?
For me there aren't Poles, Norwegians, Germans etc. There are only
jerks or good friends, don't you think? About Poles domination in
swapp, it's not like that. Of course in Poland we have many
swappers, but how manyn real good, hardcore mailtraders? Max 10-15
guys, not more for sure. It's stupid to generalize things like
that. That'll be all, coz I see that my opinion-entry is growing
huge. Oh, and short message for dr.Hirudo. Please, don't
generalize like that. It isn't true that Poles are closed for
other nationalities, or we don't want to swapp with foreigners. If
you don't belive me, just write at my addy! And it's up to
everyone who is reasonable guy and is looking for more ctx.

Punisher/Darkage Polish Swappers Dr.Hirudo/Void 04-01-2001

Polish swappers are very good and some of the best in this area of
the scene are from this country. Anyhow, it can't be denied that
Dr.Hirudo/Void haven't received answers on all his contact letters.
Most probably it is because he may have written to unactive people
or he have written to people who have enough contacts allready!
Dr.Hirudo/Void, if you would like more contacts, then you should
keep on trying! People will answer in the end! Good luck my
friend!
PS To Makak/Moons+Reason: Heyy!! Norwegians aren't that bad!!
Some are, but not everyone. I was at Astroszyn in Poland, and I
drank ur wine, I smoked, I was pissed and had fun with all of my
Polish swappers!! :) One thing one how to remember is that
SWAPPERS ARE OFTEN DIFFERENT TO OTHER SCENERS. WE LIKE TO LIVE LIFE
AND BE WASTED AT PARTIES!!! :))

A FEW LITTLE WORDS (WRITTEN BY LAHVE)
welcome to this little section for all swappers and other freaks who are
obliging to write some nice words about anything. this pack won`t be
regular diskmag, so i await only some nice experiences with swap, some
partyreports, funny stories... in short it would be good to fill this space
by one to three little articles to be written here. of course, main thing
is news, adverts etc, but this section is here only for variegating this
pack, i still prefer news section, but anyway, no problem to send me some
good/worse experiences with some swapper, any recommending about swappers,
some feelings about new swapper on the scene etc, you know.
please help us a little and don`t let this lines be only mine forever.
don`t be afraid to write some worse about someone, some critics or what, but
please don`t make unnecessary flamewars or big raging here. this mag is
dark and spooky, but please keep friendshipping here as much as you are
already doin` in your snails.
if someone has any new idea to use it here, no problem to realize it,
because this engine was done like full-valuable diskmag and i`m using only
little part of it. but i still want to let this pack in the simple form, we
have many good diskmags which need your help more than sabotage. this pack
could be only little bulletin-board for all swappers in whole amiga world.
keep this infos fresh with your news, memberlists, tunes, introscreens and
moral support and keep this pack spreading only via swapping, no inet
spreading please! thanx for it.
NO MAGAZINES (WRITTEN BY MAKAK/REASON+MOONS)
Recently there are not so many magazines as before. There are only few
english titles, and also polish productions are not so numerous as before.
People are going angry when they can't read any news scene oriented articles
and they're demanding new productions.
But hey, why magazines are relased so seldom? Of course there are many
reasons, but one of the main is poor support. Now some people will say that
he supported some magazine with few articles. And that's all, I've got
nothing against you. But listen me, you all lazy peeps! How can you
suppose that others will support magazine and therefore help to release it?
If everyone will think like that, we won't have any productions on the
scene...
Okay, but why they don't do anything? I don't know, maybe they think
that only reading magazine could be fun? But it's wrong thinking. Guys!
We're the sceners at least, and we should create. In my option, writing an
article is much more fun than only reading that. When I'm writing
something, it gives me great satisfaction. I know that I'm sharing my ideas
with other sceners, doing something for them, I'm CREATING. And creating is
the most funny thing on the scene. When i'm reading an article written by
someone else, it's not so fun. Of course I like this - I can relax in front
of my Amiga, read some scene gossips, having fun reading jokes or consider
the topics of some articles. But it's nothing compared with an article
writing. Then I feel that I'm really doing something for others, I'm
sharing a part of my soul with other sceners. It's a great feeling which
many "scene consuments" don't know. And they also don't know what they're
losing. The greatest pleasure of scening. Because scening gives something
to the others, not taking. I know that only taking is easier and most of
the people are doing like that (in whole world, not only in the scene). But
only few of us can understand that giving is more satisfacting.
And there's one more problem here. Even if some guy will decide to write
something, he'll send it for the most known magazine. So the less known
magazines, packs like this one or magazines released by not so known groups
get a little or even no support. Also this behaviour is strange. They
think they'll become more known and respected for sure. Well, maybe it's
true, but are we making productions for others? Well, if yes, that means
you aren't real scener IMHO! I swap and write articles for my own
satisfaction. I enjoy that, when I'm seeing my article for some pack or
magazine. I also enjoy when someone thanks me for help or nice letter.
It's the greatest moment in scening and then I see it was worth to sit all
the night in front of keyboard and write something.
In this little article I wanted to provocate some of you to reflect upon
your behaviour. It was short, but that's all I've got to say. So now
please sit down and write something, if you want to see more magazines or
article packs. It's the only way. I hope that new Sabotage issue will
feature more articles written by sceners, don't be lazy dudes!
TAKE ME HOME (WRITTEN BY GONE/VOID)

Destiny, what could be destiny in a land where I don't belong. Take me
home and set me free. Take me home and let me rest while I enjoy the last
days of my life. Give me back my freedom and let me be.
I have been waiting so long for this moment for you to arrive. Everyone
is afraid of you, I also was, but I changed my mind. You only can take away
my pain now. My heart is homesick, he wants to go home, he needs to go
home.
Take me away and bring me back, for I have been here too long. I had
some great times and I made many friends, but my roots are not here. My
roots are in my homeland, my safe place, my fantasy island.
The place where I can rest and don't have to worry about the daily
situation. No people that tell me what to do, for I am the boss around
there. I am king, that land is my kingdom. So bring me back to my queen
and let me be with her until eternity.
