- corrosion crew just got back from JFJF - yugoslav festival of cheap
movies. after 5 days of movies, concerts and partying, all we can do is
to tell all of you had chance to come but didn't do it, that you've missed
a lot. concerning our little crew, we did a great LO-TEK KINGS live act,
our 2 demos were screened during the festival [BURST and PROJECT42] and we
released our first LOW-FI movie called ON SARMA. this was also the place
where our cooperation with video group KADAR was presented in form of ROAD
TO HELL video with the lo-tek kings tune N2O [soon to be released as ep on
cd!]

hello, sabotagers! welcome in our show again! featuring: tex of
mankind - music (that fizzy noise in the beginning is purposeful ;)),
punisher and various swappers - support, kempy - news support. oh okay, not
so fast. this is fifth issue of my pack which was the hardest to make for
me. why? 13th friday could be horrible day for a lot of you, but i never
trusted in it until the while when this day attacked this month and just in
this day i lost all data in my hdd by my stupid "games" in hdtoolbox. i
lost my asciis and new sabotage prepared to kicking out (among other
stuff)... damn!! i will start to believe to these different fearing days
since today.
BUT! fortunately, my friends-swappers helped me a lot with a quick work
to make new sabotage again and after three days of hardworking you`re
receiving this new issue for your eyes only! i must pay a tribute to these
people: case/nah+wpz+apt for getting some stuff back to me, bolda/hla for
sending developers` pack of sabotage and schizzy/indep for fast making
important sabotage rexx macros! also big thanks to punisher who wrote two
superb articles especially for sabotage!!
there could be some words about our chart. unfortunately, all votes have
gone with other data, but i remember i`ve got only two or three ones and
i`ve got back them. after that, kempy is in "fight" with evan, both guys
has the same points and got the first place. the chart is really the same
as in last issue. but, could makak or angeldust reach the chart? vote!

Well, well, well!!! We are doing it again, the third time - and this
year with even more Power. Having had three years of experience we now know
what was good and what was bad and what should not have happened. If you
have visited the Sat 98 and Sat 99, you should have recognised the positive
changes. This year we are going to stick to the positive parts and leave
the negative out.
What has been the most positive part of the last two Satellites ? Maybe
even the most important part - the Party place ! Well, we as well as you,
like a Club much more then a sporting hall to have a party, that is why this
years party will be at the same place like last years, at the Club
"Slowianin", where we can make use of all it's advantages.
In the year 2000 we are hitting it of with almost double the Power. We
are happy to invite you for the Satellite and Kindergarden. This party is
organised by Poland and Norway together, an absolute novelty, it can only be
good.
When and Where ?!
No surprises ! As explained in our Pre-Invitation. Nothing has changed.
The dates are the 4th and the 5th of November 2000 at the Club "Slowianin",
ul. Korzeniowskiego 2, Szczecin, Poland.
How to get there ?
You get on which ever train you like to Szczecin and get off at the main
railway station. From there you go across the bridge which is crossing the
lines, in the direction of the city, not the river Oder. After crossing the
bridge you take the stairs to your right and then straight ahead until you
can see another staircase to your left. Cross the street go up the stairs
and take a turn to your right and walk until you can see a signboard saying
"Slowianin". If you see the signboard, you did everything well and you are
right on target.
Should you not be so sure, have a look at the enclosed map. No Bus no
tram etc. You can see the Party - Place already from the railway station.

kept.
What else ?
Like every year there are lot's of crazy compos! There will be no time
for boredom. Traditionally we will have concerts too. This year we will
have the following people: Voice/Appendix, Ksiu/Ind. (INDYGO) and
Wierza/Venture with RT/Venture.
We need to ask you, to please be careful with drinking the strong stuff.
To bring alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Still, we know that sometimes
we can't help it and someone get' s drunk. For those cases we will have a
separate room to stick them for a rest until they are able to walk again.
The norwegian guys should book a ticket with the Nor-Way busexpresses
leaving the busstation in Oslo wednesday 1.Nov.00 at 11:00 am. We will then
arrive at Szczecin rb.st. at 10:50 am on thursday. The bus back to Norway
will leave 6.Nov.00 at 19:15 and arrive back in Oslo tuesday 7.Nov.00 at
19:30. The entire trip back and forth will cost NOK 1422,- if you're
between 12-25 yrs old. If you are above 25 the trip will cost NOK 1580,-.
If you are below 12 years old.. Stay at home! ;-)

== What is DreamHack?
DreamHack is Sweden's largest demo party and game event and is organized by
DreamHack Organizing. It's an annual event where about 3000 persons with
their own computers meet and stay in a huge hall for 4 days to code,
compete, download, play games, meet their e-friends or whatever they (you)
like! The event is open 24h a day.
== When is DreamHack?
DreamHack 2000 will open on Thursday November 30th and close on Sunday
December 3rd. Here's some more information about the new weekend.
== Where is DreamHack?
DreamHack 2000 will be held in Arena Kupolen in the city of Borlänge,
Sweden. The whole arena will be used, approx 14.000 squaremeters. Outside
the arena there are 1800 free parkinglots.

== Entrance
At the entrance you have to show your ticket and you will get a bracelet in
return. This bracelet is your passport during DreamHack and allows you to
go in and out through the doors whenever you want during the weekend. We
strongly advice you to get your bracelet at the entrance before bringing
your computer equipment inside the hall, to avoid crowding.
We will probably open two separate entrances to speed up the procedure.
== Competitions
There are a lot of competitions held during DreamHack. There are the
traditional computer art demo compos (programming, design, graphics, music,
animation and more) and the game tournaments. The competitions are open for
all visitors.
General Compo Rules
- The organizers reserve the right to make changes to any of the competition
rules at any time, and to disqualify any entry if it is not suitable to
attend the competitions for any reason including if it isn't up to
standard. No sexual, racist, disturbing or lawbreaking material will be
accepted. Neither will entries that is offending to DreamHack's sponsors
page o3" ".messages" 3} or partners.
- The organizers have the right to cancel any competition if the quantity
and/or quality of the entries isn't up to standard.
- At least one of the authors of every entry must be present at the party,
including the prize ceremony. If the winner is not present to get his/her
prize, it might be given to someone else.
- None of the contributions may have competed or been released before
- Every author must have all copyrights of everything handed in.
- All contributions will be released.
- All entries with graphical content that qualify to the finals will be
shown on a huge screen. All entries will be recorded in a computer with
digital video through a broadcast quality scan-converter, before shown on
the screen. We advise you to adjust your graphics to more intense colors
for best
performance.
- Not all entries will be shown on the big screen, because there's no time
for that. Compo Crew will do the first judging and choose a suitable
number of entries that will be shown to the public. Most competitions
have a limit of 10 entries to be shown.
- only contributions delivered before the deadline will participate in the
competitions.
- we reserve the right to publish all competition entries on a commercial
CD-ROM and the right to show entries to sponsors and partners etc for
promotional reasons. Credits will of course be given.

In addition to DreamHack's official compeitions, there are competitions
arranged by sponsors and those arranged by visitors.
== Network and Internet
Each seat with computerplace will have access to one network port and one
IP. The network is built by 3000 switched ports, about 50 kilometers of
network cable and is connected to the Internet via fiber and a router.
Telia is sponsoring DreamHack and will provide a direct link to Telia's
backbone for great speed.
More information aobut the network will come up.
== Food
In our own cafeteria we will sell fast food, breakfast, candy, soft drinks,
Jolt Cola and snacks to reasonable prices. We also make some microwave
owens available for those of you who wants to heat some own food. Note that
you cannot bring your own microwave owen, due to fire safety and electricity
supply.
There are also some restaurants nearby in the building, eg McDonald's and
more.
== Sleeping
We've reserved the conference area of Arena Kupolen, where it's a litte bit
more quiet, as sleeping halls. Bring your own sleeping bag and inflatable
bed or equal.
== Sound Level
As the sound level in the hall can be quite high during the event, we
strongly recommend ear protectors to sensitive persons. That's also a great
idea to have when you're trying to get some rest and sleep!
== First Aid
First Aid kits with plasters, compressors etc is available in the hall and
is easiest found at the Information Desk. In emergency, please call 112 and
ask for ambulance, and also contact crew at the Information Desk or
anywhere. Most crew wear a radio and can call for help.
You can prevent accidents and sickness by following these advices:
- Behave calmly and think of what you're doing
- Follow the rules of the event and instructions, directions or advice from
the crew.
- Eat regularly and drink a lot.
- Alcohol and other drugs are forbidden.
- The air get dry because of the amount of electrical equipment in the hall.
To bring some lip balm or cerate could be a good idea.
- Remember to sleep enough and regularly. Especially the last night if
you're going to drive the car home.
== Fire Security
We have our own team of Fire Security Guards patroling the arena 24h a day
during the whole event. Our guards are educated by Räddningstjänst Dala
Mitt.
In the hall there are 6 pools of fire extinguishers placed around the arena.
In the middle of the hall, there's CO2 extinguishers for use on fire in
electrical equipment.
Arena Kupolen can take 10.125 visitors at a time, according to fire security
rules. DreamHack 2000 will host maximum 4000 persons at a time.

welcome to this little section for all swappers and other freaks who is
obliging to write some nice words about anything. this pack won`t be
regular diskmag, so i await only some nice experiences with swap, some
partyreports, funny stories... in short it would be good to fill this space
by one to three little articles to be written here. of course, main thing
is news, adverts etc, but this section is here only for variegating this
pack, i still prefer news section, but anyway, no problem to send me some
good/worse experiences with some swapper, any recommending about swappers,
some feelings about new swapper on the scene etc, you know.
please help us a little and don`t let this lines be only mine forever.
don`t be afraid to write some worse about someone, some critics or what, but
please don`t make unnecessary flamewars or big raging here. this mag is
dark and spooky, but please keep friendshipping here as much as you are
already doin` in your snails.
if someone has any new idea to use it here, no problem to realize it,
because this engine was done like full-valuable diskmag and i`m using only
little part of it. but i still want to let this pack in the simple form, we
have many good diskmags which need your help more than sabotage. this pack
could be only little bulletin-board for all swappers in whole amiga world.

About The Norwegian Crazy Demo Scene (written by Punisher)
Lamahtron is currently one of the few active crazy groups in Norway,
together with The Doctors, Kronisk Fyll Inc and The Himkoks. All of these
groups have one thing in common, they are not known to most people. Some of
you though, may have noticed a demo called 'Dr.Sound Is Round' on The
Gathering 1998. This demo proved to be very popular among Norwegians, but
sadly it was not well appreciated in foreign countries.
During the first half of 2000, we have seen only one production by
Lamahtron called 'Naughty Boy' and one from The Doctors called 'The Doctor'.
Is the crazy group scene in Norway witnessing a downfall? To clearify the
situation, I decided to have a chat with one of the frontmen of todays crazy
group scene in Norway, namely Dr.Assman. Here is what he had to say:
Could you tell the readers of Sabotage a little bit about the current
situation of the Norwegian crazy group scene?
- To be honest, I'm not very good at interviews, but I will do my best. The
situation is not as good as in 1996. Then we had Lamahtron, Lost Vision,
Prixima and lot's of others, and they did actually release something.
Now, there's only The Doctors and Lamahtron who really kicks butt. Though
I've heard some rumours about a crazy demo by The Himkoks, featuring the
Norwegian primeminister in sexual acts with Ronald Reagan. I think that
one could be fun to watch. As for Lamahtron, we are working fulltime with
a slideshow featuring great scanned graphics from various sources and a
demo containing master programming by Malcolm Hex. Malcolm Hex did also
release a fixed version of the internal beta version of Dreams by Apathy.

It's true what Dr.Assman, the leader of Lamahtron, had to say about the
state of the Norwegian crazy group scene. In my opinion, the only solution
to this problem must be to start releasing crazy demos on foreign parties.
There are not many parties being held in Norway anymore, and this could be
something which influences the Norwegian crazy scene. Poland does have a
very good culture at this area, so all Norwegian crazy sceners, send your
work to Poland, now!

The Norwegian Scene (written by Punisher)
It happens quite often. Almost every week. When I receive votesheets
that my contacts have filled, I notice that they are voting on Norway as one
of the best scene countries in the world. How is this possible I ask
myself? Are we t-h-a-t good? Does our scene have something special in
comparison with others? I will try to answer these questions in this very
article.
Andromeda, Crusaders, Cryptoburners, Stone Arts, Spaceballs, Talent, and
Ephidrena are groups most of you should be familiar with. All of them
Norwegian based, and known to most sceners around the world. The history of
the Norwegian scene is quite fascinating, and reveals some of the best demo
crews ever excisted. The legendary Eurochart was born in Norway, and the
same goes for the RAW magazine. These two productions are famous even
today, and that really proves what quality lies beyond the work of the
artists involved. But, that was many, many years ago. My question is, is
the Norwegian scene anno 2000 better than the rest?
Ephidrena. They have showed all sceners that they are capable of
producing productions with a very special and innovative design. Because of
this, they have reached the top of the charts. Their demo from The Party 9,
Concrete, took people with storm, and the same goes for their 4K
productions. Also, this group is based around Norwegian members. Zixaq,
Frequent, Cheetah, Stoney and Loaderror does all live in Norway. I can for
sure agree that a crew of this caliber could drag Norway a little bit higher
on the charts. But, still, is one crew enough to be a representative for a
country's whole scene? I don't think so. That's why I'm glad we have
Spaceballs. Also a Norwegian based crew, with famous people like Slummy,
Duckhunter, Zack, Boo and Useless. They are very active, and since also the
quality of the productions are good, they become another reason for voting
on Norway. (Just to inform those of you that is not very well informed
about the relationship between Ephidrena and Spaceballs, I can tell you that
these two crews really compete with eachother. It's almost like a war!)
Third, we have Contraz, which released a couple of productinos at the
Mekka^Symposium 2000, and a dentro at The Gathering 2000. Their productions
are ok, but not on such a scale as Ephidrena and Spaceballs.
Then, when people are voting on Norway as one of the best scenecountries,
they are voting on Ephidrena, Spaceballs and Contraz. More likely,
Ephidrena and Spaceballs. Therefore I think most of the reason for people
voting for Norway are the old legends, and the two top of the chart crews,
Ephidrena and Spaceballs. Personally I think that Poland has a far better
scene, but, they don't have Ephidrena and Spaceballs.
