- corrosion crew just got back from JFJF - yugoslav festival of cheap
movies. after 5 days of movies, concerts and partying, all we can do is
to tell all of you had chance to come but didn't do it, that you've missed
a lot. concerning our little crew, we did a great LO-TEK KINGS live act,
our 2 demos were screened during the festival [BURST and PROJECT42] and we
released our first LOW-FI movie called ON SARMA. this was also the place
where our cooperation with video group KADAR was presented in form of ROAD
TO HELL video with the lo-tek kings tune N2O [soon to be released as ep on
cd!]

For all of you that are not quite sure what this forum is about, I
can explain it with a few words. It is mainly about swappers
discussing topics that are of interest to them. Everyone can take
part in the discussions by sending their comments to me or Lahve.
At the moment, there have been heavy discussions regarding Polish
swappers and whether they are the best or not. Take a look at at
the statements below, follow the discussion, and please take part
in it! This could be YOUR chance to make a CHANGE! Remember that
ANYONE can participate, but remember that spreading shit about
people is NOT ALLOWED. We DON'T TOLERATE any RACIAL DISCRIMINATION
or RELIGOUS DISCRIMINATION. Anyway, here we go!

Hmm, is there anyone who explain me why swapp outta Poland is
rather dead nowadays? There's not my task to find standards
questions, you know what i'm talking about, all of them filled with
sentences like "i-net everyone", "less of amiga sceners", "dying
tribe" etc. I don't believe that THEY ARE MAIN REASONS of actual
world-swapp situation!!! Maybe i'm so stupid or something, but i
still don't know - "WHY?". That's all... I am flying away.

keep faith and swap until time catches us..

I don't know if Poland Swappers are good, but when I sent some
contact letters I didn't got reply only from Poland. If this is
some kind of Elitizm I can't wonder why some western sceners claims
that the Poland scene is closed in itself. They just says we Rule,
Fuck everybody outside our country, they are lame etc. Ok some non
Polish sceners might be lame but in fact the best releases
(Quality) are from outside Poland. In my Opinion best Swappers are
Outside Poland too. Everyone Prefers Quality over Quantity. So if
the Quantity is bigger in Poland that doesn't mean the other
countries haven't Swappers. They are quiet but still kicking.

i could get knowledge of poles at four parties. there is a lot of
them and they are proud of their language. polish swappers are
giving their inspiration and knowledge to next poles which are
closer to them because of their behaviour and the same life style.
many of them are rather closed to themselves and other
nationalities are feeling like some kind of aliens, although poles
are not bad people. they only have another kind of mentality and
some people cannot understand it, going farther from them by this.
all is about behaviour, but please don`t hurt them. poles, because
of their huge area of being, are root of motivation to others. it
is strange to be alone in own country and be a good swapper,
because he, alone, cannot motivated so much people to swap. poles
has long history and strong roots, this is why they could be so
motivated for others. just take the best from their behaviour and
let be ruled by this, adding something from your own experience.
and then you could be as good as they are and add your lifestyle
there as well to make own history, own style.

calm dow man, and try to think instead writing this bullshits.
little example: theres a one european country, let's call it
SCENELESS, okay? so we have there only ONE active swapper, who is
nice, and fast. everybody have a contact with him, and say:
"geeee, SCENELESS have best swappers in the world!!!. and on the
second hand we have poland and about 40 active swappers. sadly
over half of them is lazy and dont want (or cant) to swap with
foreigners. and imagine that dr.hirudo sent his contact to these
lazy/stupid ones, so!? it's easy now to talk "poland suxx!" - but
notice except jerks mentioned above, there is over 15 GOOD
swappers. and a this number (15) is more than sum of all nice
swappers in a rest of world!!! so...?! am i pathetic?! no!
years ago every european country had a lot of amiga swappers, but
can you imagine how hard was for any polish swapper to get foreign
contact!!! it was really, really hard! and nobody didn't see it!
so fuck off from poles - and at least: please show me dr. Hirudo
ANY SWAPPER who didn't receive a answer from me, so come on! and
please think about it before you'll have write shit like this
again.
PS. i'm in very bad mood today, and i tried to be more gentle as
it was possible...

Makak/Moons+Reason Poles Are Weird? Dr.Hirudo/Void 12-12-2000

Poles are wired? Maybe we are, and our bevahiour on copy party is
stupid, but hey, what with other nationalities? Lahve, have you
seen those Norwegians on Satellite2k? Foreigners say that Poles
are unfriendly for others, and so on, but what's with them? As I
can remember they were still sitting in the corner, and talkin'
with themselves. Didn't want to drink with us, have fun in crazy
compos or something. Only Lahve was having good time there (am I
right?), but obviously it's Slavonic sould and he can understand
our style of beeing. So please don't say that we're unfriendly for
you, better look at yourself. And don't you think that dividing
people for nationalities is very stupid, especially on the scene?
For me there aren't Poles, Norwegians, Germans etc. There are only
jerks or good friends, don't you think? About Poles domination in
swapp, it's not like that. Of course in Poland we have many
swappers, but how manyn real good, hardcore mailtraders? Max 10-15
guys, not more for sure. It's stupid to generalize things like
that. That'll be all, coz I see that my opinion-entry is growing
huge. Oh, and short message for dr.Hirudo. Please, don't
generalize like that. It isn't true that Poles are closed for
other nationalities, or we don't want to swapp with foreigners. If
you don't belive me, just write at my addy! And it's up to
everyone who is reasonable guy and is looking for more ctx.

Polish swappers are very good and some of the best in this area of
the scene are from this country. Anyhow, it can't be denied that
Dr.Hirudo/Void haven't received answers on all his contact letters.
Most probably it is because he may have written to unactive people
or he have written to people who have enough contacts allready!
Dr.Hirudo/Void, if you would like more contacts, then you should
keep on trying! People will answer in the end! Good luck my
friend!

Some are, but not everyone. I was at Astroszyn in Poland, and I
drank ur wine, I smoked, I was pissed and had fun with all of my
Polish swappers!! :) One thing one how to remember is that
SWAPPERS ARE OFTEN DIFFERENT TO OTHER SCENERS. WE LIKE TO LIVE LIFE
AND BE WASTED AT PARTIES!!! :))

around" or "Best demos are western onez" and such crap! And what's
up with these "Boycott against EC#42" thing?!... Guess the only
thing that happens is the scene is splitting evenmore . People who
couldn't understand that entire scene is made from and for people
of several countries, haven't anything to do with thiz community!
They better should waste their negative energy on the local neo-
nationalistic youth or sumthing, to say it that worse. Quite nice!
then you're together with people of same calibre than yourself,
little poor souls damn everything and especially themself! ...
"Oh, my life... it's so poor and senseless! Look at these dewd he

I'm in active scene since 1994, and during this time i never ever
had any problems with everyone... if he(she) was from Poland or any
other country around. I didn't know how or why this stoopid "war"
was started, and it doesn't really care to me... Stop all these
stoopid talking and just stand above yourself. Not anybody in these
scene has the right to say that he's better than otherz. Who's best
who is not?!... Stoopid phucking question!!... Anyone is good or
worse in thiz or other cases. If sumone is really kind enough he
would agree with me,and dont hack around on otherz! Think about it!
ps. Write me a line or hold up discussion if you're saying i'm

Angeldust, you for sure have some good points. But what would happen
if all the competition in the scene is gone and on the parties, the
authors of a scene production get prizes for just releasing an
average shitro, fucktro, phuntro, greetro, you name it. To create a
good demo or intro is a big race against yours talent, of course,but
if you can't compare with others where is the point of scening? It
would be good for you, but crap for others. That's why there are
charts, votes and average scener decisions which is good or crap.
Reaching high place in a chart can motivate a person, or make him
lazy,but it's important after all. Look at the chartmags popularity.
Got the point? And what war are you talking about? Is anyone already
hurt? I hope not.

Welcome to the last Sabotage issue!
Heh, don't be afraid, I really don't plan to stop doing this, I meant:
welcome to the last Sabotage in this year, of course. As always, many
things changed, many events passed. Directly after organizing our
Apocalypse3 party my harddisk has been broken due some mechanical troubles.
I had to wait one full month then they gave me my disk back, unfortunately,
it was a new one which means I lost all data. Indeed, I had no backups, so
I lost Sabotage packing/unpacking tools, all my ascii works etc.
Who cares? Everything is okay now and I'm able to bring you another issue
of Sabotage. Due to problems I mentioned above, this issue was delayed
again and it's not so overfilled, but many parties was announced and also I
didn't want to wait for some more stuff, so I pack it together directly when
Enif/HLA send me all needed tools.
There is a dolorous message for all: We all know many people stopped
their swapping activities, but please try to send me more news, messages and
delaylists to keep this pack fresh! This two months I've got only 4-5
snails! Where are all those great swappers I've been in contact with?
Evan! Azzaro! Kempy! Jackobe! Jargo! Acid! People, please, don't
commit to stop making this pack due to a lack of stuff to public!
I`ve been informed that Roover/Nah-Kolor stopped his swapping activities
and this information made me really disappointed. Although amount of
quitting swappers is higher every month, hopefully people will get some
motivation to continue with their works. Swapping wouldn't die!
Okay, this is the last issue in this year, it means we will meet again
next year, after all events you're surely looking forward to ;). So, enjoy

bedzie w Walbrzychu - sporej, stutrzydziestotysiecznej miejscowosci
lezacej w poludniowo-zachodniej Polsce (okolo 50 kilometrow w prostej
lini od Wroclawia). Wszystkie informacje o polaczeniach kolejowych i

A teraz informacja najwazniejsza - Experience NIE BEDZIE tzw.
party multiplatformowym. Dlaczego? Jest kilka powodow merytorycznych.
Po pierwsze i najwazniejsze: nie znamy zadnej pecetowej grupy z
Walbrzycha i okolic. A przeciez nie powierzymy pecetowej czesci party
pierwszemu lepszemu kolesiowi z komputerem PC, ktory o scenie przeczytal
w cd-action. Po drugie chcielismy zrobic cos na zasadzie raciborskiego
R/R_Meetingu, czyli malego party tylko dla "krewnych i znajomych
krolika", pokazujac jednoczesnie, ze nie zawsze jest sens robienia
multiplatformowych imprez. W tym miejscu wyraznie zaznaczamy, ze nie
jestesmy w zaden sposob uprzedzeni do sceny pecetowej, nie uwazamy ze
jest gorsza - wrecz przeciwnie, wiemy (np. bedac na pecetowym Horizonie
czy spotykajac kolegow z PC na Summer Libation Camp), ze "kloniarze"
rowniez potrafia dobrze sie bawic i tworzyc wspaniale rzeczy. Wiec jesli
ktos ze sceny pecetowej bedzie chcial na to party przyjechac, to nie ma
sprawy - bedzie traktowany (przynajmniej przez nas, organizatorow) jak
kazdy inny scenowiec. Jedyna roznica (dla niego) bedzie taka, ze na PC
nie bedzie kompotow (demo, intro 64k i 4k kompo). Spokojnie jednak grafe
czy muze wystawic moze. Trzeci powod nie zaproszenia sceny pecetowej (w
sposob oficjalny) jest taki, ze dysponujemy zbyt mala sala, aby pomiescic
wieksza liczbe ludzi niz 150-200 (chyba ze lubicie scisk pod bigscreenem
w czasie kompotow...). Ale po odwiedzeniu multiplatformowego Symphony
mamy spore watpliwosci czy do Walbrzycha zawita chociaz ta setka osob...
Mozemy Was jednak zapewnic, ze jesli ktos ze sceny PC podejmie
sie organizacji czesci pecetowej imprezy, to scena z tej platformy
zostanie bez problemow zaproszona "oficjalnie" w ostatecznej wersji
invitki. Znajda sie tam rowniez dokladne informacje o kompotach. Ale
juz teraz mozemy zapowiedziec istnienie nastepujacych konkurencji:

Organizatorem imprezy sa dwie instytucje: jedna z nich jest
czysto scenowa - chodzi mianowicie o powstala jakis czas temu formacje
"TAPA_JUODAA", crazy grupe kierowana przez Lothara. Natomiast druga
instytucja nie ma (niestety) za wiele wspolnego ze scena - jest nia
bowiem Walbrzyski Osrodek Kultury, ktory udostepnia nie tylko sale
(+pokoje dla organizatorow), ale takze rzutnik, sprzet naglasniajacy,
barek z piwem i sleeping-room.
Experience ma byc impreza calkowicie niekomercyjna (zgodnie z
zalozeniem) - nie uswiadczycie wiec na niej sponsorow, reklam Optimusa,
stoisk firmowych, promocji, pan z telewizji itd. W zwiazku z tym
wszystkie nagrody w kompotach beda pochodzic z wejsciowek - i nie bedzie
to zaden rower czy twardy dysk, a kwoty pieniezne. Ma to swoja wade -
cena wejsciowki nie moze byc niska, jak to mialo miejsce na R/R Meetingu.
Ustalilismy ja na poziomie 40 zlotych i raczej nie ulegnie zmianie. Dla
wyjasnienia - my na party nie chcemy zarobic, wiec jesli ktos bedzie
chcial, to po party mozemy mu przedstawic dokladny kosztorys ile kasy
uzyskalismy z wejsciowek, ile poszlo dla WOK-u, a ile na nagrody. Jezeli
przyjedzie min. 100 osob, to nagrody beda w miare przyzwoite, a jesli
mniej, to niestety czesc ludzi nagrodzonych bedzie czula sie
pokrzywdzona... Aha, ludzie z komputerem zaplaca o polowe mniej (20
PLN). Natomiast kobiety (zgodnie z tradycja) oraz obcokrajowcy wchodza
za darmo. Nie ma znizek dla mediow. Dresiarze placa piec razy wiecej
(200 PLN).
Nagrody pieniezne uzyskane z wejsciowek to nie koniec
niespodzianek. Nastepna niespodzianka jest to, ze Experience bedzie
(prawdopodobnie!) impreza trzydniowa, czyli od piatku rana do niedzieli
poludnia. Liczymy tez, ze uda nam sie wynegocjowac z WOK-iem dodatkowe
wynajecie malej sali gimnastycznej (wszystko naturalnie w jednym budynku
WOK-u) jako sleeping room (ogrzewany!). W zamian liczymy na to, ze nie
dokonacie na party zadnych zniszczen, poniewaz caly budynek WOK-u jest po
remoncie, lacznie z glowna sala party (!!). A kazde zniszczenie, kazde
mazniecie markerem po scianie oraz kazde wejscie kolesia za darmo to po
prostu mniejsza ilosc pieniedzy na nagrody. Liczymy wiec, ze zachowacie
rozum takze po wodce i nikt nie bedzie np. mazal po scianach (za
wyjatkiem miejsc specjalnie do tego celu wyznaczonych =).

sie wszystkie potrzebne informacje na temat party.

THE PARTY 2001 INVITATION
The Party 2001 - Digitally Remastered! This is the 11th party in the
neverending story that is The Party. In the spirit of last years great
atmosphere, we will add even more events for both the sceners, the gamers
and for those who are just here to have an extraodinary experience. The
Party 2001 is going to be a celebration of the culture that is computer
parties. A massive 55 hour event with the best from the world of gaming and
the demo scene, and of course lots of good, old-fashioned, analog fun.

Where and When
Messecenter Aars
The Party 2001 will be held in Aars Messecenter - Home of The Party!
The doors will officially open on the 27th of December at 08:00 CET and
close again on the 29th of December at 15:00 CET.
As many of you like to arrive early, it is of course possible to arrive on
the 26th, but we cannot promise access to the main hall, power or the
network until the 27th at 08:00 CET. Please note that arriving before the
27th at 08:00 CET may require an additional entrence fee, and that arriving
on the 25th will most likely make you catch a cold (the doors will be
locked).

Network - internet servers
Apart from offering 10/100Mbit to all guests, all switches on the tables
will be uplinked to a circular fiber based backbone, with backup lines to
ease the load and take over in case of a breakdown. With a little luck, all
tables will be connected to the backbone by high speed fiber cables, so when
we say fast, we mean FAST. The internet connection stays the same as last
year, 34Mbit full bandwidth in both directions. The internet connection
will be routed through a proxy server for optimal performance, and all major
Open Source distributions will be locally available.
On the server side, we have also done some upgrading. There will be at
least 10 fast game servers running Counter-Strike, Q3, Tribes 2, Unreal
Tournament and other popular games. Other servers will be running the DNS,
intranet, FTP and IRC services.
Everything you need to know during The Party 2001 will be available on the
intranet website, and there you will also find links to the contributions
from the competitions as soon as the competitions have ended.
More details on the network page. Sceners and Gamers Though we all love to
mess around with our computers, we also use it for different purposes. Some
for coding, composing and drawing, and some for playing the hottest games
around. No matter what you do with your computer, there's a place for you
at The Party 2001.
As we recognize the fact that sceners would like to be around other sceners,
and that gamers prefers to sit in a darker and quiet environment with
superior LAN access, we have divided the halls into different themes.
The Demo Dungeon (hall 1)
This is the optimal place for sceners and those whose primary interest is
the scene. Here the sceners gather to finish their contributions for the
competitions. Hall 1 is also the hall with the big screen, where all the
contributions from the competitions will be presented for the audience to
judge. In hall 1 we do not make promises about the speed of the network, as
it is not the key issue there.
Frag Central (hall 2)
Frag central is located in the middle of the conference center, next to the
servercamp and the game servers. This hall is dark and moody and the
network is optimized to give you the lowest ping and the highest frag count.
The Pit (hall 3)
This is the place for all you low-life existences for whom big computers,
fast network access and fast internet access is what life is all about. The
pit offers superior network speed and the fastest access to the 34Mbit
internet uplink.
Please Note
We will not accept anybody selling anything without prior written
permission. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed and will be confiscated.
Drunk people will not be allowed inside the conference center (and it is
pretty cold outside at this time of the year).
Drugs are not allowed and will be confiscated and handed over to the local
police. So will the people we find it on. People under the influence of
drugs will not be allowed inside the conference center and will be handed
over to the police.
We will not accept any kind of weapons (real, paint, gas etc), spraycans or
fireworks. If found, they will be confiscated and handed over to the proper
authorities.
People, who cause damage of any kind, will of course have to pay for it.
Further damage may be covered by reducing prizes in the scene and game
competitions.
The Party cannot and will not take any resposibility for illegal activites
done by guests present at The Party. This includes, but is not limited to:
copying, selling and swapping music, software, hardware, videos etc. We
encourage everyone to buy originals and in general follow the law. This is
NOT a copy party...
If you break any of the rules you risk losing your entrance ticket(s). In

welcome to this little section for all swappers and other freaks who are
obliging to write some nice words about anything. this pack won`t be
regular diskmag, so i await only some nice experiences with swap, some
partyreports, funny stories... in short it would be good to fill this space
by one to three little articles to be written here. of course, main thing
is news, adverts etc, but this section is here only for variegating this
pack, i still prefer news section, but anyway, no problem to send me some
good/worse experiences with some swapper, any recommending about swappers,
some feelings about new swapper on the scene etc, you know.
please help us a little and don`t let this lines be only mine forever.
don`t be afraid to write some worse about someone, some critics or what, but
please don`t make unnecessary flamewars or big raging here. this mag is
dark and spooky, but please keep friendshipping here as much as you are
already doin` in your snails.
if someone has any new idea to use it here, no problem to realize it,
because this engine was done like full-valuable diskmag and i`m using only
little part of it. but i still want to let this pack in the simple form, we
have many good diskmags which need your help more than sabotage. this pack
could be only little bulletin-board for all swappers in whole amiga world.
keep this infos fresh with your news, memberlists, tunes, introscreens and
moral support and keep this pack spreading only via swapping, no inet
spreading please! thanx for it.
I HAD THIS GREAT STORY (BY GONE/DARKAGE+VOID)
A few weeks ago I wrote this great story. Anyway, I thought it was
great. all the sentences and words came so easy and everything seemed to be
so good and hitting the topic good. Every thought I had about it was
perfect and I wrote the aricle within a few minutes.
One day later I checked it again, still thought it was good and changed
some language errors. I am one of those quick writers that always have to
check their articles again for the most common mistakes you can make. So
after that I saved it to my harddisk and made a backup on floppy to take it
home. Just like usual I write my articles at work and take them home to
send them to the main ed that will check it out.
A few weeks passed by and I wrote some more articles, checked them, send
them to the main ed and they will be released soon. And all of a sudden I
realised that I did not send that one particular article yet. So I started
to search thru the boxes with disks I have lying around, but due to our
moving it somehow got lost somewhere and I could not find it back.
No worries I thought, I saved it at work on my harddisk, so let's make a
copy and take it back home again. Next day at work I searched thru the
entire harddisk, but could not find back the article I wrote. Maybe somehow
I forgot to save it, or someone deleted it I don't know, but it was not
there anymore. So this was a big disaster in my opinion, cause losing an
article is not good, but losing a good article is even worser.
A week has passed and I still felt bad about the loss of that article,
cause I realy liked the story and I realy wanted it to be released. But
what could I do, it was gone and I had to live with that.
But wait I thought, why not write it again and release it. So why not do
it, let's write it again. As soon as I had some sparetime left I launched
my editor and sat behind the keyboard and started to write the text I had
still in my mind. Bu somehow I forgot some sentences and I was half way the
story when I realised that it sucked, the story I wrote just sucked big time
when I wrote it again. I could not get the feeling and the passion again
when I wrote it for the first time.
So right now I am still wondering what happend, I had this great story,
lost it and cannot get back what I wanted to write. Or was this story just
ment for me alone. Was it destiny that only I had these feeling and the
words about this. Should no one get to know what I thought and what I felt
at that time.
I completed half the story now, but I don't release it before it's done.
So perhaps sometime I get the feeling and the motivation again to finish it,
and let you all know what I wrote about now.
But for now you'll have to do with this non interesting piece of text.
SKINNER MY BROTHER WHERE ARE THOU (BY GONE/DARKAGE+VOID)
When I started my scene activities 7 years ago the first scener I wrote
to was some guy called Skinner/Eltech from Norway. I send him my first lame
package and as friendly as he was he replied to me with some cool wares, a
letter and some tips to improve my swapping.
It is well known that Skinner was great and famous swapper when he was
still active in the scene. Positioned high in the charts and always
answering quick. He was a swapper I liked very much and as a person he also
seemed to be nice guy.
After some years he joined the army and he laid low for a while, but he
came back and swapped his ass off. He seemed to be a swapper everyone
wanted to be. He also started to code and has made some productions for
Void also.
Suddenly things changed, he made some promises and didn't keep them,
joined groups and left groups, changed his handle and changed it back again.
More sceners asked what happened with Skinner, I am waiting for a reply. I
never had this problem with him anyway, he always wrote back to me real
quick.
But the last two years that I've swapped with him he seemed to have some
kind of personal problems. He joined the army, left the army again and it
seemed to me that something in his personal life was holding him down. He
still kept contact with thru email and I wanted to help him out with his
problems, but I never found out what it actually was that bugged him.
His answers some kind of frightened me, and I reminded him the offer that
I always made to him, take some free time and come to Netherlands to relax a
little. Unfortunately we never met.
Contact became slow and less and his answers got worse every time, I had
the feeling that one of these days he would commit suicide and I could not
help him in any way. Suddenly he became unreachable and until today I never
heard of him again.
I wrote some emails to his address again, but never got a reply.
A good scener is probable lost, my first contact ever said hello, but
never said goodbye. Anyway, Skinner is still my friend and if someone knows
more about this subject please let me know.
And Skinner, if you're reading this, drop me some lines to tell me how
things are.
If not, take care my brother, I never forget you.
