Si dice "you and I" o "you and me"?

Entrambe sono corrette. Si usano però in contesti diversi:

• you and I si usa quando deve funzionare da soggetto. Esempio: you and I are staying at home (io e te restiamo a casa/stiamo restando a casa). In pratica, prova a usare solo I come soggetto della frase: se va bene, allora anche you and I andrà bene. Nell'esempio di prima, I am staying home funziona altrettanto bene, al contrario di me am staying home . Quindi you and I è corretto;
• you and me si usa invece quando funziona da oggetto: there are only you and me here (ci siamo solo io e te qui). Anche qui, prova a sostituire l'intera espressione con solo me : there is only me here . L'altra opzione (there is only I here ) non funziona bene.

In pratica, la differenza riguarda i cosiddetti pronomi personali:

• I è un subject pronoun e funziona, appunto, come un soggetto alla pari di thou , he , she , we , they .
• me è invece un object pronoun e funziona da oggetto in una frase, per esempio come him , her , us , them .

EDIT (12–6–2020) : apparently, such an innocent answer has been drawing a few (uncalled for?) comments that focus on my examples rather than the heart of the matter.
