Was there an advanced ancient civilization 12,000 years ago ?
It is a well-known fact that perfectly preserved mammoths have been found in Siberian permafrost with tropical-type vegetables in their stomachs that had yet to be digested. Carbon-14 (C14) dating of the carcasses suggests they lived around 12/10,000 B.C., at the beginning of the Holocene.
The fact that the content of the stomach was not yet digested is evidence that freezing occurred extremely quickly, less than a couple of hours. A possible explanation for such a violent and sudden climate change is that, for some reason (meteorite?) a catastrophe occurred such that the Earth's axis shifted, so that Siberia found itself almost instantly from a tropical zone to an Arctic zone.
Let us now try to move Siberia further down to a sub-tropical height. The north pole will be in Greenland, and if we now turn the world map around and look at where Antarctica has been located, we see that it will be located at about the present height of Australia, in a more than temperate zone.
Please note that Antarctica's ice formation also dates back to about 10,000 B.C.
Furthermore plant fossils have been found in large numbers on the Antarctic's mountains, indicating that, at one time, this land was covered with dense vegetation. Incidentally, as has been detected by satellites, this continent consists of two large islands, now entirely covered by a single ice cap, several thousand meters thick.
In American myths, with Viracocha and with Quetzcoatl, and in other locations, such as the Maldives, recurs the presence of white and bearded men who brought knowledge to the local people. And, in all these localities, one finds constructions made of huge stone blocks, with extremely accurate particular joints, similar in construction concept to those of the Valley Temple at Giza.
The pollen dating of the Pyramids at Giza and the "duat" dating proposed by Bauval's astronomical map are slightly later than that of the frozen mammoths. And these are just a few of the many existing clues.
Now the question is: are these all strange coincidences or can it be assumed that some "survivors of the Flood", coming from a more evolved culture settled in Antarctica, went north in different directions to seek better living conditions, finding in these places other populations, also survivors of the cataclysm, but less evolved? I do not want to talk about the myth of Atlantis, which was also cited by Herodotus, however, at the basis of all myths, there is always a bit of truth.
Let me be clear, this is just a hypothesis, and until artifacts are found under the ice of Antarctica to prove the existence of a civilization there, it is destined to remain so.
However, it seems to me that the clues toward a certain conclusion are unambiguous and too many to be ignored or, in the best cases, considered separately. So, I would consider it appropriate and necessary to try to give these a more "comprehensive" explanation, perhaps on a more scientific basis than mine, based only on common sense. Personally, I don't believe much in coincidences!
