Beef Stir-Fry with Napa Cabbage

Marinating Ingredients:

  • 8 oz sirloin beef, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Cooking Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 4 cups Napa cabbage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of white pepper powder
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp hot chili sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Cut the sirloin beef into slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, white pepper powder, cornstarch mixed with water, and oil. Add the sliced beef and mix well. Let it marinate for a few hours.
  3. Cut the Napa cabbage and carrots into 1-inch pieces.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of oil and minced garlic.
  5. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for a few minutes, then add cooking wine and remove from the pan.
  6. In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil, then add the cut Napa cabbage and carrots.
  7. Stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, white pepper powder, chicken broth, and hot chili sauce (optional).
  8. Cook until the vegetables are soft, then add the beef back into the pan.
  9. Mix cornstarch with water and add it to the pan to thicken the sauce.
  10. Add sesame oil, give it a final stir, and your Beef Stir-Fry with Napa Cabbage is ready to serve. Enjoy!
