DNA Magazine Issue 9 August 1994 Monthly Update

by Arclight

Welcome back to DNA! It has been more than three months since the release of DNA 8, and much has happened since then. This month's issue is a loaded with up-to-date hacking methods, all of which have been tested and proven to work under normal circumstances. So, the next time you don't have a quarter, don't blame us! The Sixth Column is also back in force, and violence enthusiasts will enjoy Clinton's Body Count. Updated Political and tax info is also included.

DNA Magazine is now available via E-Mail subscription, in plain-text format or UUCODE (on request). Please take full advantage of this service, as many have requested it. This month's issue provides what we feel is a quality, informative magazine, so enjoy!

DEFCON

The DEFCON hacker conference was held this July at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas. Many of you were fortunate enough to attend, and it was a huge success. Speakers included Gail Thackery, notorious hacker-tracker and bitch from hell, a representative from the SPA, and many speakers from our side. See this issue's article with the complete DEFcon itinerary, and stay tuned next issue for coverage of 2600's HOPE convention in New York.

SCUZHEAD-LETTER-OF-THE-MONTH DEPARTMENT

Following with our tradition of publishing interesting/entertaining letters from Cyber-Sleazoids, (i.e. creditors, etc) we've included a re-print of a flyer recently received in the mail by a DNA staffer. It is an ad for a white-monitor-club BBS in SoCal. Your info is being sold to people like them by PD BBSs, and these evil consumers of bandwidth must be hacked into submission.

ULTRA ADULT BBS

GIGABYTES of Sleeze!

Erotic Stories, Games, and "Graphic" Pictures.
1200/2400/9600/14400 Baud

The Ultra Adult BBS is not for the meek and mild.

The system is a remote bulletin board for "Perverted" owners of computer systems accessed by modem from anywhere in the world through the telephone.

Ultra Adult has thousands of programs, erotic stories, and pictures that can be obtained by calling with your computer and downloading.

Now you don't have to wait for a brown wrapper mail order, you can get the programs instantly by computer.

You can register by computer (must be 21 to access system) by calling (714)XXX-XXXX Visa and Master Card accepted.
