Sailor Moon “U” Episode 2
Pin it

A young girl sat on an abandoned swing set, staring off into the sky. Her hands gripped the chains of the bar tightly even though she was not moving herself. She continued to stare even though a bright flash of light appeared, for an instant, behind her. She didn’t even blink as a woman in black ran past her. The woman turned around to stare at the girl who stared off into the sky. Another flash of light appeared and the woman ran off leaving the girl once again, as far as she could tell, alone once again to stare up at the sky.

“Well Mars, we’re not dead are we?” Moon asked sarcastically.

“No, but do YOU know where we are?”

Moon thought about this awhile and looked around.

“Everything looks the same to me. Maybe we just teleported to a different part of Earth?”

“Are you sure about that. It looks to peaceful to be our Earth, “ observed Luna from her perch on Ami’s shoulder.

“According to my computer, this IS Earth, and we’re still in Tokyo. We’re just in a different dimension,” replied Mercury while she plunked away at her computer.

“Are you sure Zeal is here? It doesn’t look like she’s anywhere around,” said Luna.

“No, I’m using my computer to keep a lock on her. She’s still here. If she leaves, we’ll no it.”

“Why don’t we ask that girl over there if she’s seen Zeal anywhere? If Zeal did come out here, she must have seen something,” said Venus.

The Sailors detransformed and made there way across the playground to the little girl on the swing, staring up into the sky.

“Hello?” asked Minako with Artemis sitting on her shoulder.

The girl made no attempt to look in Minako’s direction. Instead, she stayed staring up into the sky.

“Uh….. excuse me?” she tried again.

Still no response from the girl who continued to stare up into the sky. Artemis laughed at Minako. Minako quietly told him what she would do to him if he didn’t shut up and let her do her work.

“What’s your name?” asked Minako who was beginning to lose patience. The other Sailors stood around and watched.

“My name is Kaeli, “ said the girl in a slightly monotone voice.

Minako did a mental victory dance at finally triggering a response from the girl. She turned around and laughed at Artemis for doubting her.

“Hi Kaeli. Did you happen to see a woman wearing black come past here?”

“Processing……”

“What?”

“Processing……”

Ami plunked at her computer and made a funny face. Luna looked at her.

“What’s wrong?”

“She’s not human.”

“That little girl?”

“She’s a robot.”

“A WHAT?”

By this time, Ami and Luna had attracted Usagi and Rei and Makotp who came over to hear. Artemis noticed the gathering and him and Minako left Kaeli who was still processing Minako’s command and joined the other girls.

“According to this, that little girl is a robot. She’s been programmed to sit on that swing for eternity.”

“So that’s why she’s saying ‘Processing……’”

“I wonder if-”

“Yes, a woman in black passes by me exactly ten minutes, five point three five nine four two three six two eight-”

“A little specific isn’t she?” wondered Luna who was watching Minako run toward her arms flailing.

“Wait, WAIT!” shouted Minako.

“-six four seven one three two-”

“Minako, give her a command! She’s a robot!” yelled Ami after her.

“I thought ‘wait’ was a command?”

“No, I think it’s a recommendation for the future,” replied Artemis.

“Stop Kaeli,” said Rei

Kaeli stopped rambling of numbers, but continued to stare up at the sky.

“Um. A woman in black did pass by you then?” asked Rei.

“Yes, a woman in black did pass by me exactly eleven minutes, four point-”

“That’s nice. Which way did she go?” asked Makoto who had gotten antsy from standing there waiting while Zeal could have been destroying everything.

“Processing…..”

The girls groaned as they waited for a reply.

“The woman in black went south-west.”

“Thank you!” the girls said in unison as they walked off toward where Zeal had gone.

“I can’t believe those Sailor Senshi dare to follow me! Who do they think they are anyway!? I’ll show them. I’ll teach them not to mess with Zeal!”

Zeal ran up the streets looking for a particular building. She didn’t know exactly what it looked like, but she knew what it held. A great universe skipper like herself knew exactly what ran every universe based on the life on it. She knew how she would defeat the Sailor Senshi using the people here against them.

Zeal continued to look around for that building with no luck. She was getting tired of looking all the peace, quiet, and order there was around her. She would soon change that.

Zeal rounded a corned and spotted the dimly lit gray building down an alley. She smiled wickedly and ran into it. She was immediately surrounded by bright lights and conveyor belts and computers. Zeal walked into room after room of the same thing until she came into a large room with a giant computer. She smiled.

The five girls and two cats walked up the street admiring how neat and orderly everything was. No crime, no pollution, no nothing.

“The only thing that’s not right here is that EVERYONE is robots,” said Usagi.

“That’s why it’s like this. Real people would mess everything up. Robots are programmed to be perfect,” Ami replied. She was still plunking at her computer trying to locate Zeal exactly.

“But WHO programmed them?” asked Rei,” Someone had to be here to program them. Or at least program someone to program them. There must have been humans living here at one time.”

“Rei’s right. There has to be some PEOPLE living here. Otherwise they couldn’t make all this.” After Minako said this, she thought to herself about life in general. Nothing made sense to her anymore.

The girls stopped at a corner to rest. They all felt the same, but none of them wanted to say anything. Usagi was the first one to speak for the group.

“I wonder if they have any food around here?”

“It’s unlikely. Robots don’t need food to eat,” replied Ami, even though she as well as the rest regretted that fact.

“It’s almost complete. The Sailor Senshi won’t know what hit them!”

After a few minutes, a smile spread across Ami’s face.

“I found her guys! She’s just a few blocks down!” The started to run toward the place Ami had indicated when a shadow crossed their path. The stopped. Kaeli stood in from of them looking fearful. Minako kneeled down to her.

“Hi Kaeli. What’re you doing here. Shouldn’t you be-“

Kaeli shoved her backwards. She was small, but being a robot made her stronger than a normal human being.

“It’s too late for you Sailor Senshi. Leave! Leave before you get hurt!”

The girls looked confused. Ami plunked at her computer but couldn’t find a logical explanation for what had just happened to the little girl who was programmed to sit on a swing and look at the sky.

The other people around them turned with blazing red eyes. They started to walk toward the group of girls and cats.

“Transform!” shouted Luna and Artemis.

“Mercury Crystal Power!”

“Mars Crystal Power!”

“Jupiter Crystal Power!”

“Venus Crystal Power!”

“Moon Eternal!”

“MAKE-UP!”

“What do we do. These guys weren’t made to kill us. They’re like civilians,” said Mars.

“If we run, we might be able to make it to the building Zeal’s in and stop her fro whatever she’s making the people do.” Jupiter replied.

“I know what she did,” Mercury admitted, “she reprogrammed them all to go after us. Wherever she is, that’s where the reprogramming place is.”

“Let’s hurry up and get there then!” shouted Moon.

Mercury grabbed Luna and Venus grabbed Artemis and Kaeli and they ran down the street. A group of the red-eyed robots stopped them as they turned into the alley.

“Venus Love-Me, Chain!”

The yellow chain of heart wrapped the group together while the girls ran past Venus let the chain go after they all made it inside the large gray building. They shut and locked the door behind them. The robots pounded outside but the steel door kept them from breaking in. Lights were everywhere. Conveyor belts carried parts of robots from one place to another to be assembled.

They went from room to room looking at all the machines that created the humans of this planet. Eventually, they stumbled upon the large room containing a huge computer where Zeal sat programming all the robots to kill the Sailor Senshi.

“Where is this place?” asked Kaeli. Zeal spun around.

“Sailor Senshi?!?! How did you make it here?” Zeal snarled for awhile in her own misery then turned back to them, “No matter.” She turned around and pressed a few buttons. Kaeli began to shake, and her eyes began to glow red. She turned around and faced the Sailors. A curious look crossed her face before she dropped to the floor.

All the Sailors gasped. The lights in her eyes and drained away as well as whatever life she may have had.

“What? I told her to self-destruct!”

“She did self-destruct you idiot!” screamed Venus, “You killed her!”

“What?! Self-destruct should have made her blow up!”

“Venus! Love and Beauty, SHOCK!”

The hearts smashed into Zeal and knocked her backwards into the computer. A bunch of lights flashed. Zeal turned around and stared at it for a moment and then turned back to the Sailors.

“You can have this universe back! I don’t want such disobedient minions.” She threw her hands up and disappeared through her portal.

“I’ve got the readings. Let’s go before this place bows up,” shouted Mercury over the noise the computer had been making.

As they started to form a circle, everything stopped and returned to normal.

“Thank you for getting rid of that woman,” said a voice. The sailor looked around, but didn’t see anyone around.

“To answer your question, I made these robots.”

“Is the computer talking to us?” asked Moon.

“Yes, it’s me.”

“You created this robots?” asked Luna.

“They were right. Humans do have a hobby of repeatedly stating the obvious,” said the computer.

“Who?” asked Mars.

“Never mind. I yes, I created these robots. I was designed to.”

“Is Kaeli dead?” Venus asked.

“No, I shut her down before she could self-destruct.” To prove its point, the computer turned Kaeli back on. She stood up and looked around, confused.

“You must go now,” said the computer, “The people here have already been affected by your presence. Any longer could change them further.”

The Sailors nodded. Venus said goodbye to Kaeli who looked at her blankly. They got in a circle with Luna and Artemis on their shoulders.

“Sailor Teleport!” shouted Luna and Artemis.

Kaeli watched as they were surrounded by light. She looked confused.

“Bye, Minako………” she said in a small voice as they disappeared after Zeal.
