Chinese Pyramids and Sky Gods Legends: evidence of a Pre-Flood Civilizations?

Details about the great pyramids in China, capable of rivaling the Egyptian and Central American ones in antiquity, complexity and beauty, continue to emerge very slowly. Could China's great past, hidden for a long time, reveal important new truths about humanity's past?

The truth about the existence of the Great Chinese Pyramids has finally made its way to reach the general public. The existence of such structures in China has been suspected since the beginning of the 20th century, but the tormented political and social vicissitudes, which began with the Wuchang uprising (1911), have often represented an insurmountable obstacle.

"The ancient past of China is denied to us and to its population, but its great past is slowly revealed, as happened with ancient Egypt"

wrote the historian Henri Cordier in 1920.

"Although recognized as a great civilization , its ancient treasures are barely known. Rumors speak of pyramids in desolate areas of the country."

The first testimony: Fred Meyer Schroeder

The knowledge of the Chinese pyramids occurred in different phases and in a very gradual manner. The first testimony dates back to 1912. The American travel agent Fred Meyer Schroeder, during an inland trip, reported the sighting of a series of pyramids in the province of Shaanxi.

“It was more disturbing than finding them in the desert,” he writes in his diary. “These pyramids are somewhat exposed to the eyes of the world, but still completely unknown to Westerners.” Schroeder's guide, a Buddhist monk, explained that the pyramids had been there for at least 5,000 years.

Schroeder estimated that the main pyramid reached at least 300 meters in height, with the sides of the base 500 meters long, dimensions that would give a structure ten times the volume of that of the Great Pyramid in Egypt.

The second testimony: James Gaussman

The second testimony was from US Army Air Force pilot James Gaussman, who reported the sighting of a large white pyramid during a flight between India and China in 1945, in the midst of the Second World War. The soldier reported thus:

«I was flying around a mountain, followed by a valley. Directly below us we spotted a giant white pyramid. It was like being in a fairy tale: the pyramid was shrouded in shimmering white. It may have been made of metal or some other type of stone. The curious thing is that at its top there was a large piece of precious material, similar to a gem. I was deeply struck by the colossal dimensions of the structure."

Photography by Maurice Sheahan

The third testimony, documented by a photograph, is due to Colonel Maurice Sheahan, director for the Far East of Trans World Airlines. In 1947, while flying over a valley near the Qin Ling Mountains, Sheahan spotted a giant pyramid that he promptly photographed.

The discovery was reported in the March 28, 1947 edition of the New York Times. In the article it was estimated that the pyramid reached 300 meters high with a base of 500 meters per side, dimensions that would dwarf the pyramid of Giza.

Two days later, in its Sunday edition, the New York Times also published the photo taken by Sheahan. Meanwhile, in a letter sent to the Associated Press, Chinese archaeologists denied that such a pyramid existed.

The structure was later identified as the well-known Maoling mound ( see image on Google Maps ), i.e. the tomb of Emperor Wu of Han (156-87 BC), located in Shaanxi province, about 40 kilometers west of capital Xi'an.

A detailed US Air Force map of the area around the city of Xian, made using satellite photography, shows at least 16 pyramids.

It is interesting to note that the three major pyramids follow the position of the pyramids of Giza and Teotihuacàn, a configuration which according to many researchers recalls the position of the three stars of Orion's Belt.

Still much to discover

"China still retains many mysteries, of which the local population itself is not aware",

wrote the German researcher Hartwig Hausdorf in his 1994 book “Die weisse Pyramide” (The White Pyramid).

“I spoke to Chinese archaeologists, who at first denied any pyramids, but eventually recognized their existence.”

However, the impression is that China will not give up all its mysteries so easily. Probably, many pyramids are still to be discovered, others not yet made known to the scientific community and public opinion.

Most of the known pyramidal structures represent ancient burial mounds built to house the remains of many of China's early emperors. The most famous is the Mausoleum of the First Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang, near Xi'an, in the Shaanxi province of China.

It is here that the famous Terracotta Army was found, estimated to contains between 6,000 and 8,000 statues of warriors, dressed in stone armor and equipped with weapons, placed to guard the emperor's tomb. Of these statues, approximately 500 warriors, 18 wooden chariots and 100 terracotta horses have been brought to light.

Chinese pyramid structures have flat tops, therefore much more similar in shape to the Mexican pyramids of Teotihuacan, than those of Giza in Egypt.

The question remains: why does the pyramid remain the most widespread architectural form of antiquity? Based on the fact that many past civilizations preferred the pyramid shape as a fundamental structure, some researchers think that in the distant past there existed a global civilization that inhabited our planet, spreading its culture to all the continents of the Earth.

After being wiped out by an immense global cataclysm, this ancient civilization left traces of its existence in pyramid monuments scattered across the planet. The few survivors would then rebuild the post-Flood world. This is the Theory of Ancient Humans.

Others, however, think that there is something much more intricate in humanity's past: extraterrestrial travelers would have contacts with our ancestors, altering their culture and evolution. Given their technological prowess, our ancestors would have regarded these alien travelers as Gods.

Chinese mythology tells of celestial beings who descended to earth in flying dragons: they were the first Chinese rulers who started Chinese civilization and who are known as the Three Augustus: Fu Xi, Nüwa, Shen Nung.

Fu Xi, according to tradition, lived between 2952 and 2836 BC. He had a role as mediator between men and divine beings. Legends have it that he taught fishing and farming to men. Furthermore, he is credited with inventing the Yi Jing divinatory system, metallurgy, writing, the calendar and music.

Nüwa was Fu Xi's sister and also became his bride. Her appearance is halfway between the human being, whose head appears, and the animal, usually the body with the appearance of a snake or fish. She is considered a deity of creation: it is she who creates men, molding them from clay. She was also responsible for the introduction of the institution of marriage.

Fu Xi and Nüwa were always depicted tied together by the tail. Fu Xi holds a square in his hand, Nüwa holds a compass. The two instruments (to this day, still used in Masonic symbolism) indicate that the two sovereigns invented norms, rules and standards.

Furthermore, in the illustrations Fu Xi and Nüwa are accompanied by two suns. In some Hittite tombs dating back to around 4 thousand years ago, similar depictions of twins, male and female, accompanied by two suns are found. These twins are the ones identified in Hittite texts as god of the Sun and Sky and goddess of the Sun and Earth.

Therefore, as often happens when dealing with these topics, the questions are many, the coincidences incredible! Ancient China gives us a further piece of the mysterious mosaic of our planet's past. Could the Chinese pyramids help us understand what really happened?
