Berry Tiramisu Trifle πŸ«πŸ“βœ¨

Ingredients

For the tiramisu:

  • 1 pound ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the berry layer:

  • 4 cups mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

For garnish:

  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Additional mixed berries

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed berries with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir gently to coat the berries evenly, then set aside.
  • In another mixing bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  • In a shallow dish, combine brewed espresso with coffee liqueur (if using).
  • Dip each ladyfinger cookie into the espresso mixture, coating both sides lightly. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.
  • Arrange half of the macerated berries on top of the mascarpone cream layer.
  • Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of mascarpone cream on top.
  • Cover the trifle dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Before serving, garnish the tiramisu trifle with fresh mint leaves and additional mixed berries.
