4 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 cup honey
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vinegar
4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
1 cup unsalted butter, softened

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
In another bowl, mix sour cream and honey until well combined.
Dissolve baking soda in vinegar and add to the sour cream mixture.
Gradually add flour to the egg mixture, alternating with the sour cream mixture, until fully incorporated.
Add softened butter and mix until smooth and creamy.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
