Kcal: 425 kcal | Servings: 8 servings

_____Ingredients:_____
250g digestive biscuits
100g butter, melted
397g can of caramel (such as Carnation Caramel)
4 ripe bananas, sliced
300ml carton of whipping cream
Chocolate shavings, to decorate (optional)

_____Directions:_____
Place the digestive biscuits in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Alternatively, place them in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
Transfer the crushed biscuits to a bowl and mix in the melted butter until well combined.
Press the biscuit mixture into the base and up the sides of a 20cm loose-bottomed tart tin. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Once chilled, spread the caramel evenly over the biscuit base.
Arrange the sliced bananas over the caramel layer.
Whip the cream until it holds soft peaks, then spread it over the bananas.
If desired, sprinkle chocolate shavings over the top for decoration.
Chill the banoffee pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
