Adam's calendar: evidence of a 200,000-year-old civilization?

This could be the most important discovery in the history of mankind. But what is the 'Adam Calendar'? Is it really the oldest stone circle in the world? Was it really built by the Anunnaki, the alien gods of the Sumerians, as an earthly gold-discovering outpost some 200,000 years ago? Or is it the first solar-lunar calendar created 75 thousand years ago?

The Adam Calendar is located near Mpumalanga and was discovered in 2005 by Johan Heine, while flying over the area during a mission to save the pilot of a failed plane.

In recent years, the enigmatic stone circle has been promoted, along with the Bosnian pyramids, as one of the oldest human structures on the planet.

Adam's Calendar is located on the top of a southward-sloping cliff known as the Transvaal Escarpment, an area rich in quartzite and gold deposits. The site consists of a large number of seemingly randomly scattered rocks, of which a small percentage have been placed to create not so much a stone circle, but what Heine assessed as a 'stone frame'.

Johan began to measure and calculate the position of the monoliths. Drawing on his years of experience in the field of aeronautical science and navigation, he very soon realized that the circular structure was deliberately designed to align with the cardinal points of the Earth, and with the equinoxes and solstices.

In all there are about a dozen stones that appear to have been placed upright, including two about 8 feet tall that stand out in the middle of the monument. Heine believes he has identified various solar alignments, including a particularly interesting one involving three reclining stones which, in his opinion, were once oriented vertically towards the stars of Orion's belt. Nothing strange, given that many prehistoric sites appear to contain this type of alignment.

The only problem is that Heine uses this particular alignment to demonstrate that Adam's Calendar is at least 75 thousand years old, since the stones would be aligned with the constellation of Orion in the position in which it would have appeared in that distant era of the history of mankind.

Researcher Michael Tellinger goes much further to suggest that the Calendar of Adam may have been created around 200 thousand years ago, as the center of operations of the Anunnaki, the alien deities reported in Sumerian mythology, also known as Nephilim.

They would have come from their home planet Nibiru in search of gold deposits. Once they arrived on our planet, the Anunnaki created Homo Sapiens, genetically modifying a hominid (according to some Homo Erectus, according to others Neanderthal Homo) and creating a worker to extracted gold. This intervention of the Anunnaki would have given a boost to human evolution, turbocharging a process that would naturally last thousands of years.

Tellinger's ideas are inspired by the writings of Zecharia Sitchin, a philologist and scholar of Sumerian mythology, who in several works wrote that the Anunnaki dug a good part of the gold mines in South Africa. Sitchin's sources for his conclusions start from a series of Sumerian and Hebrew texts, translated in a way that is unconventional compared to the traditional interpretation.

Mysterious ancient ruins in southern Africa

Heine's discovery opened a real 'Pandora's box' on Southern Africa, allowing the discovery of numerous stone settlements which represented a new fascinating and enigmatic chapter for contemporary archaeology. It is estimated that there are over 20,000 ancient stone ruins scattered across the mountains of South Africa.

Archaeologists and anthropologists speculate on the origins of the mysterious ruins, often labeling them as 'material of little importance'. While the most attentive and possibilities-oriented part of the scientific community glimpses a completely new and surprising picture of the ancient history of African ruins and of the history of man more generally.

The truth is that very little is known about these spectacular ancient ruins and that sadly many of them have been destroyed out of sheer ignorance by forestry, farmers and urban development. Some researchers are convinced that some of them may be up to 100,000 years old.

It is clear that this immediately poses a huge problem for archaeologists, anthropologists and historians, given that the beginning of the history of human civilization is commonly placed no later than 12 thousand years ago, with the birth of agriculture. And it becomes even more complex when you realize that these are not simple isolated structures left behind by migrating hordes of hunter-gatherers. Aerial and satellite photographs show that the size and vastness of these settlements covers over 5 thousand square kilometers, and perhaps many more.

Most of these settlements are well buried under the soil and can only be noticed by the expert eyes of an observer. It becomes even more disconcerting when you look at the ancient roads that connect all these settlements, with a road network that appears to exceed 500 kilometers. The location of the ancient road sections suggests they once connected the coast of Mozambique to Botswana and perhaps beyond. A rough calculation indicates that the original roads would have required the use of more than 500 million stones weighing between 10 and 50 kilograms each.

Perhaps we are looking at the oldest settlements on Earth. Many scientists say we shouldn't be surprised to find such ruins. Indeed, since South Africa is considered the cradle of humankind, we should expect these types of discoveries. The clues seem to show that we are faced with what was perhaps the largest and most mysterious civilization to have existed on Earth.

How does Adam's Calendar fit into the picture of African ruins?

According to Tellinger, the Adam Calendar represents the jewel in the crown among these ruins, since it is possible to date the monolith calendar, with relative certainty, to at least 75 thousand years ago, based on a series of scientific evaluations. Furthermore, it represents the first tangible evidence that southern Africa is indeed the 'Cradle of Humanity'.

The Calendar of Adam was originally a large circular structure similar to that of Stonehenge, but predating it by many thousands of years. The original shape is still clearly visible from satellite images. It is built along the same meridian as the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Three monoliths appear to be aligned with the three stars of Orion's belt, as it appeared in the celestial vault 75 thousand years ago. If this is true, Adam's Calendar takes us to an era much closer to the appearance of Homo Sapiens than any other structure ever found to date and which could force historians and archaeologists to reconsider the entire evolutionary history and culture of mankind.
