Footprints of ancient deities coming from the sky?

Indian mythology tells us that the deities Rama and Lakshmana spent some time in India looking for Sita, Rama's wife, who had been kidnapped by the devil. “They could have been made by local populations, as a future memory of the visit of the deities”.

A curious discovery that occurred in a village in central India has fueled many discussions online, according to which a pair of footprints and a mysterious flying object engraved in the rock could be clues to ancient astronauts who landed in ancient times.

In the village of Piska Nagri, in the Indian state of Jharkahnd, geologist Nitish Priyadarshi is studying some large footprints engraved in a rock which, according to local tradition, indicate the visit of 'ancient gods from heaven'.

The carvings are found on a large rock and appear to reproduce the outline of a pair of wooden sandals, footwear commonly worn thousands of years ago in the region. Some pairs of footprints measure almost 30 centimeters in length, while others measure up to around 25 centimeters.

Indian mythology tells us that the deities Rama and Lakshmana spent some time in this region looking for Sita, Rama's wife, who had been kidnapped by the devil. Rama's life and heroic deeds are narrated in the Ramayana, an ancient Sanskrit epic, which literally means "The Journey of Rama".

Priyadarshi explained that the footprints were found on a granite rock and were therefore probably carved rather than imprinted in the hard substance: "They could have been made by local populations, as a future memory of the visit of the deities."

Next to the footprints there is another interesting image that caught Priyadarshi's attention: the engraving of a mysterious flying object.

“The footprints and the flying object are on the same side of the boulder,” said the geologist. “Perhaps it means that the two gods reached this place aboard a flying object.”

The age of the footprints has not yet been ascertained. “If we consider weathering, we can hypothesize that the carvings were made thousands of years ago,” says Priyadarshi.

More footprints

But the Indian case is not an isolated case. In other parts of the world, other giant footprints have been found which still represent an unsolved enigma for scholars. In September 1925, for example, James Higgins found giant foot prints in a rock on Busy Peak in the United States.

In October 1926, the Oakland Tribune reported the news of a discovery made by Professor George Davis Louderback, a geologist at the University of California. The researcher found a pair of footprints on a cliff near San Jose, which measured about one and a half meters in length.

In 1976 the famous English anthropologist and archaeologist Mary Leaky discovered 70 human footprints imprinted in stone in Tanzania, at the site known as the 'Laetoli Slopes'. Leaky said the footprints appeared to belong to modern humans, which created a big problem: the depressions were in a layer that was about 3.6 million years old.

According to the theory of evolution, no modern human being could have existed in such a remote time. So what happens when evidence doesn't support a theory?

Despite Maria Leaky's statement about the modern look of the footprints, scientists went to work searching for an alternative explanation that would fit evolutionism. Some said the footprints appeared to belong to an as yet undiscovered hominid; others speculated that they were from an entirely different creature. Ultimately, they concluded that the footprints belonged to a creature, like Lucy, somewhere between ape and human. End of the story.

Finally, in 2012 explorer Michael Tellinger (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRuxw-nZoJw) found a giant footprint about 1.2 meters long in a granite rock near Mpuluzi, South Africa.

Even in this case, the rock would be about 3 million years old. But the footprints discovered by Priyadarshi are different. They appear to belong to someone who was wearing footwear, such as sandals.

These discoveries, together with many others, have given rise to a growing interest on the part of some researchers, aimed at discovering new clues that can prove the existence of great men in our planet's past.

“We live in a highly advanced technological world, but there are still so many mysteries around us,” says Priyadarshi. “Ancient places and mysterious beings, submerged worlds and cultures, landscapes steeped in symbolism, inexplicable apparitions and incredible ancient finds. Despite thorough investigations, unanswered puzzles remain.”
