Apple has a long relationship with Adobe. In fact, we met Adobe’s founders when they were in their proverbial garage. Apple was their first big customer, adopting their Postscript language for our new Laserwriter printer. Apple invested in Adobe and owned around 20% of the company for many years. The two companies worked closely together to pioneer desktop publishing and there were many good times. Since that golden era, the companies have grown apart. Apple went through its near death experience, and Adobe was drawn to the corporate market with their Acrobat products. Today the two companies still work together to serve their joint creat...

1988 February 10 - ZMAGAZINE ST-REPORT ISSUE #21 Atari Versus Apple - A Possibility? The rumor mill within the computer industry on occasion can come up with a whopper (it makes writing this column definitely interesting). One source of rumors/gossip from time to time is InfoWorld, the weekly computer news magazine. Over the past year, a news policy has been implemented by InfoWorld which stresses business use of computers as opposed to small business/home applications. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish
Steve Jobs didn’t coin this sentence. "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish" is often attributed to Steve Jobs but it was actually used by "The Whole Earth Catalog", published 1968 – 1974, who had put the words on the back cover of their final publication. In the Stanford speech Steve Jobs towards the end of his speech shares the following sentence: "On the back of the cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: ‘Stay hungry. Stay foolish."

Steve Jobs inside his office at Pixar in 1997. Picture from Diana Walker.

It seems to be impossible to find pictures of the Steve Jobs office at Apple, so these are definitely very rare pictures as show Steve Jobs inside his office. The two pictures where made by Diana Walker on 18 September 1997. What we can notice is that the desk is very small. On it there is only a laptop, a telephone, a cup with some pens, a baseball hat and some papers. In the background is a small library, in the front is a sofa and a small table. The sofa is positioned under the windows, making impossible to stand in front of the windows to look outside. An artistic statu...
