This news is broadcast during the first full week commencing Monday each month, to the following schedule..
Evening transmissions at 20:00 U.K. local time on 3.584 MHz. Mark.
RTTY on Monday-AFSK, Wednesday-AFSK and Friday-FSK.
Pactor-FEC on Tuesday.
Amtor-FEC on Thursday and Saturday.
Morning transmission at 10:00 U.K. local time on 7.041 MHz. Mark.
RTTY on Sunday-FSK.
Both frequencies could be +/- for QRM.

Contests.
The first annual World-Wide RTTY WPX Contest sponsored by the American Digital Radio Society takes place during the first full weekend in February.
Starts: 0000 Saturday, February 4 until 2400 Sunday February 5.
Contest Period: Single and Multi-Single operators may only work 30 hours of the 48 hour contest period. Rest periods must be a minimum of 60 minutes, clearly marked in the log.
Bands: 3.5, 7, 14, 21 and 28 MHz. (no WARC bands).
Modes: All digital, RTTY, Amtor, Pactor, G-Tor and Clover.
Classification:
- Single operator, high power, low power, all band and single band.
- (A) Single operator station, one operator performs all logging and operating duties.
- (B) Low Power. Output power not to exceed 150 watts.
- (C) Single band. High and low power mixed.
- Multi-Operator. All band operation only, no power classes.
- (A) Single Transmitter. Only one transmitter and one band permitted during the same time period.
- (B) Multi-Transmitter. No limit to transmitters, but only one signal allowed per band.
Note: DX Packet Cluster and DX alerting is permitted in all classes of operation.
Exchange: RST plus a progressive three digit serial number starting with 001. Multi-Transmitter stations may use a separate series for each band.
Points:
A Contacts outside your own continent score three (3) points on 28, 21 and 14 MHz. and six (6) points on 7 and 3.5 MHz.
B. Contacts within the same continent, outside your own country score two (2) points on 28, 21 and 14 MHz. and four (4) points on 7 and 3.5 MHz.
C. Contacts within the same country score one (1) point on 28, 21 and 14 Mhz. and two (2) points on 7 and 3.5 MHz.
Multipliers:
Each different prefix is worth one miltiplier, counted once only and not once per band.
The letter/number combination forming the first part of the amateur callsign will be considered the prefix.
e.g. N8, W8, WD8, WB2, WD200, KC2, KC200, OE2, OE5, G4, G0 all count as separate prefixes and multipliers.
Scoring: Total QSO points times the number of different Prefixes worked.
A station may be worked once on each band for QSO credit.
Low Power: Output power must not exceed 150 watts. You must indicate Low Power on the summary sheet.
Awards:
There are over 30 trophies and plaques on offer for the leading stations in all categories and most continents. Certificates will also be awarded to the highest scoring station in each category, every participating country and each call area in the U.S., Canada, Australia and japan.
Log Sheets:

Notes of Interest.
9N, Nepal. Members of the Japan UNICEF Ham Club expect to be active from Nepal from january 1-7 with all modes including RTTY.
9G, Ghana. John 9G1BS will be in Ghana for the next two years. Direct QSL's are answered almost return of post.
Antarctica. Australian base. Eddie VI0ANT is at Davis base in the Antarctic until end of march 1995, CQ zone 39, ITU zone 69.
Antarctica. Italian base. The correct callsign of Luciano, I0JBL is IA10PS to celebrate the 10th. anniversary of the base.
ZL7AMO provided long periods of RTTY from Chatham Isl.
DU, Cebu Isl, (IOTA OC-129). Look for Tom SM0CNS/DU7 on all bands mainly CW, but equipped for RTTY if requested.
VP8, South Shetland Isl. SP3FYM is expected to be on the air signong HF0POL from mid December until late 1995. He intends to concentrate on RTTY and 160 meters. SP2JYV may be active from King George base from December on all bands using CW, SSB and RTTY.
VP8, Falklands and South Georgia Isl's. Operations from SGI are expected to take place from January 4 till 19.
XR0, Easter Isl, and Sala Y Gomez Isl (new IOTA). Early news of a planned DX-Pedition to this location with hopes of 24 operators, 12 from each location, running simultaneously for a 2 week period. Tentative dates are August 26 until September 14 1995. The venture is proposed as a joint scientific and radio science project to include digital mode operation.
5H, Tanzania. Jim, 5H3JA is especially active on digital modes and is expected to be in tanzania for about 6 years.
