Murder, She Wrote
Murder, She Wrote is a television show that ran from 1984 through 1996.
Each episode describes the daily life of Jessica Fletcher, a retired English teacher who, after the death of her husband Frank, became by chance a famous writer of detective stories. Despite the notoriety acquired, Jessica however continues to live a simple life in Cabot Cove and her acumen often leads her to investigate the murders that occurred in mysterious circumstances in the small town. At the end of each episode, the identity of the murder is revealed.
The Jessica Fletcher`s character is ispired by the Agatha Christie’s character Miss Marple.
Murder, she wrote has a total of 264 episodes, divided into 12 seasons. Each episode is about 60 min long.

Where is located Cabot Cove ?
In the television show Cabot Cove's exact location was never fixed. In Chapter 18 on page 261 of Martin Gottfried's authorized biography of Angela Lansbury it is stated that the producers based Cabot Cove on the real town of Castine, Maine.
In the episode School for Murder in Season 11, a nautical chart behind Mort's desk shows Penobscot Bay.
In the episode What You Don't Know Can Kill You from Season 12, Jessica and Seth's niece Amy visit the place where Amy's fiancé had a fatal (apparent) accident. As they head back to Amy's car, a road sign showing "Route 9" and "to US Route 1" is clearly seen, along with a sign post showing the distance to Cabot Cove and other Maine cities.
