. . . : ; The "MAD PANIC" Notice

I am so far behind. I'll blame it on Perl and its unbreakable hold
on me. I love programming in Perl, and my love has led me astray from
your love. I am sorry. My punishment is to type as quickly as possible,
pulling reading material from a nether region you'd rather not know
about.

. . . : ; The "BITTEN LIP, SUNKEN SHIP" Notice

I don't remember my dreams, but one of them decided it would be funny to
send my rabbit teeth (I'm a hideous mofo, lemme tell ya) through my
bottom lip. Three days later, my lip is big, decreases my Charisma to
negative numbers, and makes it hard to scream at the top of my lungs. I
don't dare cover it in Vaseline... I know what else I'v.... uh... yeah,
we'll stop there.

. . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and my armpit itches...

THE HORROR SECTION: The Horror Section had a bunch of updates over the
past month, including major additions to the "Posters and Similar" and
"Comics and Magazines" sections. Also had a chance to expand the
pathetic attempt at Horror News into a full fledged section. Finally,
the latest addition was a search engine programmed by yours truly...
it's currently beta but should be publicly available within a month.
Keep watching these pages for more info.

NEW DEVIL SHAT (#FiftyNine): You'd expect a new Devil Shat and Disobey
doesn't disappoint (ooh, alliteration!). Find the fourth of ten articles
by Rown Garnbii centering around the Ten Commandments, as well as an
article on why Morbus is really a woman. (Ok, well, he's not really a
woman, but he watches them on TV - really, he blathers on about
Christmas this issue).

NEW GHOST SITES (#33): The NetSlaves book tour is finally over, and
Steve Baldwin returns with an issue bursting with enough death and rot
that any wormwood treant would gladly make love to him. Whether
reciprocation is his cup of tea will be revealed a bit later in life.
For now, find clues to this mysterious question by taking a look at the
latest issue, filled with filtering facts, rolling with rock cities, and
counting backwards to a date long past.

COLLECTED WORKS NOT DEAD: Slowly, slowly, Disobey's own ghost site
returns to the living - a pretty big (and unnoticeable) update was
performed this past month. Mainly optimizing code and revising minor
sentences, there should be new content sometime in December or January
(and perhaps some new authors and artists - you'd like that, wouldn't
you?)... Slow and arduous wins the race, they say.

VERY MINOR: Made some miniscule changes around the main pages of Disobey
- it'll now fit correctly in the deprecated 640x480, as well as having
the email subscription box aligning correctly during resizing or what
have you. Another major-minor was the "About Disobey" section finishing
all the changes necessary for me to be happy with it... new images, new
text, everything! Oooohhhh...

. . . : ; EVERYTHING else and oh, it's a spider. hello spider...

NEW CDS: I've dedicated myself to getting a CD a week - hopefully, this
mentality will insure listening pleasure instead of housemissing
hardships. New acquisitions this week included: ATARI TEENAGE RIOT "60
Second Wipeout", MARILYN MANSON "The Last Tour on Earth", THE MISFITS
"American Psycho", END OF DAYS (sound track) and HALLOWEEN HOOTENANNY
(finally hunted the damn thing down). Yeah, I know, there's an extra CD
there. Leave me alone.

SIGNATURES: I played with my freakin' signatures again. You're
getting annoyed hearing about this every couple of months, I'm sure, but
damn, I spend a lot of time on those things. I really should rewrite them
to the Internet Standard, but, but, but, only four lines! Gasp!

WHAT THE?: I know, I know. Chico's Groove sucked this issue. All I can
think about is getting back to my reading material: "Object Oriented
Perl". It's taken a hold of my desire, and it doesn't want to be
relieved.

. . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( november 12th - december 9th )

[I'm-Wanted-of-the-Week]-= Buying the Disobey Name
---I wasn't home when it came in, but someone randomly called Disobey
---wondering if I'd be interested in selling the name. Perfectly fair
---request, I'll give them that, but I've spent three years of my
---life working to where I am now - why the hell would I want to
---throw it all away? Did you take a look at the site? I doubt
---anyone who has had a name for two years and has developed it as
---far as Disobey has would be willing to sell. Thanks though,
---whoever the hell you are... got my ego going for a bit.

[Annoyance-of-the-Week]-= Frontpage Extensions
---We should have known not to take the plunge, but we figured
---that since we were recompiling Apache anyways, we might as well
---try to attempt Frontpage Extensions 2000. What a freakin'
---mistake. Long story short: web site directories doubled in
---size (literally) and removing the damned things and then
---attempting to restart the webserver ended in disaster. To
---rectify the situation, we had to uninstall Apache, put it
---back on and go from there. Meanwhile, because of the uninstall,
---I lost three days of logs. Not just any three days, but three
---days on the busiest week of Disobey ever. There would have been
---a new record if it wasn't for Frontpage Extensions. Freakin'
---Microsoft, burn in hell.

[Excuse-of-the-Week]-= Why This Issue Sucked
---I'm tired, in a rush, and I want to read. Go away. And now
---I'm going to blabber to add lines to this missive. Looks better
---with more lines. Really. Uh huh. There, all better.
