Eurochart 47 review

Everybody on the Amigascene should know the Eurochart well, but it's still 
worth commenting what the makers have included this time. 

Upon loading the mag, there are two excellent handpixeled images, this is 
sadly too uncommon these days. I miss the time when graphicians took the 
time to paint their images by hand using the mouse, so this was a pleasant 
approach. Peach/Gods and Pix/Scenic are the makers. 

There are three modules to listen to this time, they are made by Kam_, 
Scorpion and P.O.W. We are told that a couple of these modules are old ones, 
but that doesn't matter, they are pleasant to listen to. The startupmodule 
is one which I would prefer to listen to when reading partyreports and the 
likes. If you are reading articles about heavy coding, the second one is 
perhaps more suitable, as it's a little more calm. The third module is 
perhaps the best one, but it didn't play from the mag on my computer. I 
think that I read something about this in the mag aswell, but like said, 
it's a nice, calm and relaxing tune and absolutely worth listening to. It's 
big though, it takes over 600000 bytes when converted to regular ProTracker 
format. 

Seeing the articles, it seems that there's a wide variation from negative 
to positive feelings about the scene's future. Iris seems to be certain that 
the new socalled Amigas (Pegasos and AmigaOne) will be important in the 
future. Here there's a lot of optimism. Negative feelings are clearly seen 
in the articles regarding swapping, although Strife lightens up the image 
a little in his article. We also find a lot of articles telling about the 
future of the Eurochart, and obviously the makers have big plans. I just 
hope that they won't dig too deep too fast and get tired from it all, read 
my other article about this. 

Again, there are new panels in the mag, Iris must obviously have contact 
with a lot of active graphicians. Both the panels in the articlesection and 
the ones in the chartsection are new, aswell as in the gallery section. 
If there's one negative thing to point out it would be that it's a bit hard 
to read the text on the buttons in the articlesection, but it's not a big 
problem. Overall, I think that the new panels made the mag more pleasing, 
and a little change once in a while like Eurochart has had during the last 
issues make me await the next issue a bit more eagerly. 

Overall, I liked this issue of Eurochart a lot, and the most important part, 
the articles, are well-written. Although the topics span over a little more 
narrow view than I would want to to see, I think it's good work considering 
how hard it can be to collect articles from other people. 

I hope that Iris can continue this high standard for the next issue, and I 
also hope that it won't be too long before it's out.
