ÍÍ Editor's Introduction: Our scene current stage ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ[01]ÍÍ
I was talking with T3A the other day. We discussed about products
expected on ritual when t3a said "Ho, its no use. Our scene is
getting weaker! See, Psycho Beaver bbs closed, Liquid bbs closed,
the oder sceners drafts into the army and no one lft to giude the
new sceners, to give them the RIGHT scene spirit. They just came
from the warez scene and still thinks in those terms!". This
decleration brought me into writing this article.
Yea its true. The scene is having a weak time now. One of the two
main scene boards was closed and the main art scene board (liquid
bbs) was closed also. I can add SYNC to the list, whose members
(Riff Raff and Hue) stoped all thier scene activities for unknown
period of time, Sticky Baboon drafted to the army, borzom soon
follows him, Trex was completly gone and as a whole, our scene
became more quite.
All these facts are true, but only temporary. Our scene had some
tough time before and recovered, and this time too. Whether it
will be on Ritual or on Mov'97 - our scene got BETTER in any way.
Yea, it means less products, but it also means BETTER ones!
Esteem produce 1 demo per year, but that demo always wins FIRST
place! Though about it? We do have a dead time on the art scene,
but who can rememmber the period started at the death of
Flash/Rage/Sam/ect. to the flurish of TATOO/RAGE/ect, the time of
Canvas and Plastic #1. So, we're a bit low for now! (btw, if you
havn't noticed, the same thing is happening in the world scene;
go see for new files that aren't comming from a party somewhere).
What DO we have to do? We have to take the new groups under our
wings. We gotta teach them and give them the same spirit of fun,
discovery and enjoyment we have. We have to show them how GOOD it
feels to be counted as a good scener, whatever the speciality
field is. Groups like A-DAY and BNC maybe seems too simple now,
and they might be doing some stuff wrong - but if we won't
correct them nicly - they'll just get tierd of the scene. Look at
SFUMATO, the new graphics group. They may look like starters and
nothing more, but who knows? Maybe within a year they'll be the
leading graphics group in Israel??

As you know, the CFX Team is working to maintain the bbs and other
activities for the scene. We are in need for the following people:
[ 1 ] PR man PR stands for Public Relations, and thats exactly what
we need. This person will be responsable to keep in
touch with the groups we represents and offer our
free service to other groups. IRC access is mandatory.
[ 2 ] INET Dev. As 2 out of our 3 members droped out for lake of time,
we are in need of the following people:
Music incharge (1) - General members (3)
Unlimited users account to the members of INET Dev.
[ 3 ] IDN Dist. IDN is the Israeli Demoscene Network. We share 8 mail
areas right now, probably adding some files areas in
the future. We need more scene boards to carry this
network as well as PEOPLE who can help sysops install
IDN on different BBS Packages (RA/PCB/INIQ).
[ 3 ] An artist with experiance in web graphics, for giving a hand in
constructing and maintaining Coders F/X Web site.

As coders F/X is the official party bbs, you can be sure ALL the
products will be available as soon as they'll be released!

(*) We do try but cannot find products from: The Trip, Scenery,
Spring Break, Simple, Invasion & SiliConvention. If you have
any information on how to obtain releases from those parties
please contact us.
(*) Ritual'97 info file available on line. Date is not yet set, but
T3A (main organizer) sais it's probably in the end of july. The
invitation intro was suppose to be coded by SYNC, but as it's
members suffers from lake of time, the invitation will be coded
by someone else.
