WELCOME

WEll this is the first official release of DRAGON WORLDS! WE hope that as the network grows so will this publication.... First off let me just say Hello to all of you who are sysops that have joined DN and those of you who have not well what are you waiting for? And to the users out there nice to see you all! Thhere are many big plans and ideas in the works so we hope to take the net to new heights!!

QUICK NOTES

Remember that on Feb. 1 you must all be using the Vnet upgrade kit in order to be networked with us! If you don't upgrade then I'm sorry to say but you won't be able to net with us or any other VNET style networks!!! The upgrade is mandatory and can not be forgotten!!

HISTORY

Well this is the part where we give the history of DRAGONnet!

7/92 First ideas of a new network come about! Original name is developed and advertised as PIREX-net

8/92 PIREX-net gets abandonned for various reasons that conflicted with the network in general!

9/92 DRAGONnet gets it's first breath of air! Total rennovation of PIREX sees a hell of alot done to make DN bigger and better!

10/92 First test connects and startup kit is made.... The net seems to be ready to go public!

11/92 Going public gets put on hold as DN gets a major facelift! Totally new file subs and message bases put a damper on the release of DN!!

12/92 DN goes public finally!!! Setup as a temporary net set in Vconfig with plans for FIDO version soon!

1/93 DN gets more nodes!!! Everyday we keep getting more nodes and interest! DN will be getting added to the NET.0 File as soon as Roland updates it! What took so long to get started finally seems worth it!!

WHO's THE NC?

Okay now let's give you a bit of info about the NC of DN!!!

Well he goes by the Handle of Warlock on the boards and does artwork under the Handle of Armored Saint! He Runs Middle Earth Online (MEO) in Reading, PA. Reading's Hottest VBBS board and guys who like to kick ass!!

Warlock is known to be one not to take anything but is always ready to give more than you can handle! WE don't make trouble but we'll finish anything that gets started basically!!

AS far as I'm concerned this network is for those who want what Vnet has to offer without all the political bullshit! Speaking freely and with out alot of hassle is what we feel is best! There is some stuff we will not allow on certain subs but at least there is a sub for you to put that other stuff into!

Also responses are almost 100% of the time within 24-48 hours! not weeks! And you don't have to Register VBBS to be in this network!

So let's get kicking!!!
