The Elder Scrolls: Arena
To recieve 536 million gold pieces,
(please note: this is the exact text I recieved. Since I have
yet to play the game, I could not change it into real english
without possibly screwing up the cheat...)
This is what you have to do: go to a city on Heart's Day
( I think it's the 16th of HearthFire, but I don't remember
if this is the correct month name, check in the manual to find
the correct date for Heart's Day ). This may take some doing --
you'll need to travel from city to city until you find some city
or town that you are expected to reach on Heart's Day ( given
your travelling time ). On this day, the inns are supposed to
give you a room for free. Just drop by an inn and ask to
Get a Room. The innkeeper will say that the rooms are free for
24 hours. Then if you look at your character sheet, you'll have
536 million gold. It looks as if this particular bug got by the
playtesters. The nice thing about this is that you no longer
have to worry about buying spells ( I went on a shopping frenzy )
and you can buy any item you want! I no longer have to bargain
with NPCs for deals and can finance all my artifact map finding
missions. In fact, I have so much money that I don't know what
to do with it all...
How to use the Oghma Infinium to raise your stats:
a) Ask people until the tell you about the Oghma Infinium.
b) Discover the Infinium (stand in front of it) but DON'T USE it NOW !
c) save your game in the FIRST game-slot
d) Now use the Infinium and distribute the 50 bonus points as you like
e) save the game again in the SECOND game-slot !
f) quit the game
g) type the following at the dos-prompt IN your arena directory:
xcopy saveengn.01 saveengn.00
or maybe ( copy /b saveengn.01 saveengn.00 if you don't have xcopy)
h) start the game again and LOAD from the FIRST game-slot.
You will now have the 50 points you had distributed in d).
The chest with the Infinium is still closed ;)
i) restart at d) as often as you like.
(But you dont even need the omega infinium to get 100 on all stats!)
Simply make up 3 spells:
First Magic Boost which boosts Intell, Wisd and Agil
Second Battle Boost which boosts Strength, Speed and Con
Third Charisma which boosts Luck and Personality
Set them to enhance your attributes the max you need for the max rounds
(95) and then to decrease quickly ... they last a long time and cost about
1500 gold to create, casting cost is minimal at level 15 or so.
