Well, here's the news:

1. The mailing list works.

2. Verve is back together again - and it brings happy tears to my eyes.
(has anyone noticed that Richard almost laughs one time when he is
repeating the line 'Another drink and I won't miss her' in
"So It Goes" on the gorgeous A Northern Soul album? - just wondering,
I think it's pretty neat..)

3. My vcr is eating up MTV Europe's Alternative Nation Icelandic special
with loads of Gus Gus (both videos, live performances, interview),
Bellatrix, UnUn (they did spell it like that, right?) etc...

1 + 2 + 3 = Everything is just fine

Please note that it will take another week before the Web-pages are
back online and working again, but the mailing list and my e-mail works
okay from now on.

the Papas Fritas. I saw them open two weeks ago for The Cardigans in

Greetings,
I've hardly seen any visuals of Slowdive outside the
Souvlaki/Pygmalion/ask me tommorow album covers, and just wanted to know who
is who in Slowdive. With the photo on the cover of Souvlaki is it (from left
to right) Neil, Christian, Nick, Simon and Rachel. It's quite obvious with
pymalion as they are playing on stage at the time, but the faces are a bit
obscured. Any help would be appreciated.

No, it's Simon, Neil, Christian, Nick, Rachel.

Left to right:

Christian, Ian (is he wearing a "Monty Python Sings" t-shirt?), Neil, Nick,
someone's foot (Neil or Christian), Rachel.

That band was called Assemblyline People Program from Chicago and I met
the lead singer at the acoustic set that Blur did at Tower Records--which
incidentally was wonderful-- the night before their NYC show. Nice
guy, kinda wierd but alright. Ciao!

So, I managed to get ahold of a promo copy of Mogwai's new album (in stores
in the US April 8) called Ten Rapid (on Jetset). I must say that I would
highly recommend this. Comparisons to Slowdive seem a bit farfetched at
points, at least on this release. However, what they do sound like is a
reverby, dreamy Bedhead, with some Windy + Carl thrown in for good measure
(on New paths to Helicon PT. 1 and End, particularly). If you get the
chance, pick one up.

Yeah, but he didn't choose to for that reason. That's how it's pronounced in

Other theories are that the machine makes a kissing noise or that 'kiss' was
