Line 10, Search function! Change it from "If findText$ = midiStr$ THEN" to
"If findText$ = midStr$ THEN". Not it's now midStr$, not midiStr$. Of course, you
have to type the whole name, but you can use the instr function to fix that.....

Hi all. It's time for me again. Recently there has been an "uproar"
over the QBasic Top 50 issue and QuickBasic 4.5 and PDS. Steve Martin,
the webmaster of the QBasic Top 50 received a phone call from a group
of people that are going to have all of the QBasic site that host QB 4.5
shut down, and there going to get help from the big-boys them selves.
Microsoft. Really, I don't want to see this happen. So I mailed the list
of people on the QBasic LinkExchange (quick plug http://qble.hypermart.net )
about this issue. Here are some of the replies that I received:

|In all honesty, I think it is about bloody time someone did something
|about this. We are hurting ourselves, because we are here to make our
|own software, while some of the people are pirating the software of
|others (even worse, it is what we use to create our software!). I do
|think, however, we should plan a big attack on MicroSoft to try to
|convince them to either support QB or release it as freeware, or do
|something. We are stuck in limbo, and something needs to be done.
