Beef with Snow Peas 雪豆牛肉

  1. Cut 6-8 oz of beef (sirloin preferred) into slices
  2. Marinate beef with 2 tsp of soy sauce, pinch of salt and pepper, 1 Tbsp of cornstarch and 1 Tbsp of oil for few hours
  3. Cut 2 cups of Napa cabbage into slices, set aside
  4. Cut 1 cup of carrot into slices, set aside
  5. Prepare 4 cups of snow peas, remove strings, set aside
  6. Medium heat cooking pan with 1 Tbsp of oil and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
  7. Add beef sautéed for few minutes, take it out and set aside
  8. Use the same cooking pan, add snow peas, carrot and Napa cabbage stir-fry for a minute
  9. Add 2 tsp of soy sauce, 1 Tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, half tsp of white pepper powder and 3/4 cups of chicken broth
  10. Cook vegetables for few minutes, add beef, then add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce
  11. Add 1 tsp of sesame oil, ready to serve
