Beef with Snow Peas
Beef with Snow Peas
- Cut 8 oz of beef (sirloin preferred) into slices
- Marinate beef with 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, pinch of salt and pepper, 1 Tbsp of cornstarch and 1 Tbsp of oil for few hours
- Cut 1 cup of water chestnut into slices, set aside
- Soak 6 shiitake mushroom in water until soft, cut into slices, set aside
- Prepare 4-5 cups of snow peas, remove strings, set aside
- Medium heat cooking pan with 1 Tbsp of oil and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
- Add beef sautéed for few minutes, take it out and set aside
- Use the same cooking pan, add mushroom stir-fry for a minute, then add snow peas and water chestnut continue cook for few minutes
- Add 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1 Tbsp of oyster sauce, pinch of white pepper powder and 1 Tbsp of cooking wine
- Add beef and 1 cup of chicken broth cook until snow peas turn soft (3-5 minutes)
- Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce
- Add 1 tsp of sesame oil, ready to serve
