Homemade Shiitake Mushrooms with Napa Cabbage in Oyster Sauce (蠔油香菇白菜)

  1. Soaked Shiitake mushrooms in water until it turns soft, remove the stems and cut into slices
  2. Boiled Napa cabbage in hot water with 1 Tbsp of salt and 1 Tbsp of oil.
  3. Medium heat cooking pan with 2 Tbsp of oil, add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
  4. Add Shiitake mushroom stir-fried for a minute
  5. Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 2 Tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of black pepper and 1/4 cup of chicken broth
  6. Continue medium heat to reduce juice for few minutes
  7. Add shredded red pepper and scallions.
  8. Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce.
  9. Pour the mushroom on the top of cooked Napa cabbage, ready to serve.
